What are your guys thoughts of this movie? I personally loved it. Great acting, script was pretty good for M. Night. And the story was great for a different take on the comic book genre. I think this is one of the most underated "superhero" (thriller) films of the bunch and was overlooked and overtaken by Sixth Sense and Signs. What do you guys think of the flick?

The flashbacks scenes in this film make me cringe. I thought there was a really good story here. Samuel Jackson was comfortable in his role and the rest of the cast also performed quite well . When I first saw this film I was waiting for the sequel. It was definately a good movie.

yeah i was desperately waiting for a sequel as well

I enjoyed Unbreakable quite a bit.

Absolutely loved the decidedly gloomy/dreary setting of the film in which the story was told.

The weight-lifting scene was great. There was this subtle triumph there...it was very cool.

Loved the movie and was very relieved that a sequel was never made. I found the idea of a true origin story, leaving the "what happens next?" up to each individual person so much better.

thats a great way to look at it, Remember the the TrainStation scene when he first develops his power and reaches his hands out. That scene got to me.

i thought this movie was really nothing special. it was slow, dry and really overrated. The acting was flat, and the story was lacking.
It was the first step M. Night took down a long road littered with lousy, lousy films.

Thought it was amazing, love Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jacksons performances :)

Loved it. very good origin story.

When i saw Unbreakable in the cinema i felt it was boring sh..
After i saw it today on tv i must say it is underestimated and quite alright

Unbreakable was great. It was original the way it was on the border of reality and fantasy. It had an enthralling tone and some scenes were really intense without needing to be flashy or overdone. It's a great take on the superhero genre.

I really liked this film. It was different than the usual "superhero film". I would love to see a sequel to this.

I love that movie. You can just taste the creativity.

Ditto.
A side note, I hate people that say there's no superpowers in the film.

Never heard anyone say that. But I don't know how "super" I would say Dunn is. Okay, to our knowledge, he can't easily be hurt. But even he doesn't think he's bulletproof. And he's strong, but not Superman strong. Supposedly, he's immune to viruses & bacteria but there's no real way to prove that based on what the movie showed. To me, his most impressive ability is to see the evil that people have done by touching them.
That-and only that-nullifies the claim of NO super powers in the film.

My favourite MNS movie to date, better than the new The Happening movie.

That's exactly how I feel, so glad there was no sequel cause I think it would go for more flash than the great small story of the 1st one, like all sequels do. The weight lifting and train scenes are amazing to me. I think the real power of the more is M. Night doesn't really use a twist in the movie, it's all about David Dunn discovering who he is and what he should do now that he knows.

I wouldn't go so far as to say ALL sequels. BUt many are pointless & should be subtitled, "The Search For More Money".

I loved Unbreakable. I thought Mr. Glass was a great Arch-enemy, and one of Samuel Jackson better roles.

I thought it was an awesome movie, lots of great stuff.
Stuff like when he fights the orange man, like someone on youtube noted. instead of beating him up, he clings on to him while getting pounded, shows off his powers while not feeling ridicules.
