Just watched the Star Wars: TFA trailer again thanks to this thread. I still get goosebumps watching it!

what's that got to do with Uc4?

is that what amy hennig is working on?

After analyzing the evidence and connecting the dots I believe the post was made because of discussion about trailers that give people goosebumps, 2015 excitement, and Darth's Ep. VII avatar.

Adding all those together I've concluded that Quasimod0 watched the Ep. VII trailer after being reminded of it's awesomeness from Darth's avvy, hence post.

I watched it because people were talking about it on the last page. lol. Come on guys. :p

You're avvy still makes me excessively happy everytime I see it btw. The same way everytime I watch the trailer I still get goosebumps and become all giddy.
Your avvy gets me every time as well. 2015 is the year all our childhood dreams come true on the big screen. Well 2015, and a little into 2016. :woot:

Fine by me. They can take another year for all I care. They'll give us a masterpiece, anyway. Just don't rush it.

I thought they'd be further along than recruiting for new guys to work on things like that.

A delay? Who cares. Better to not rush it, we know ND will deliver an awesome game. Taking more time to work on it will only be a benefit for the final product. No big deal to me.

I do... if they need more time to make the game exactly the way they want and need it to be then so be it, but I can't say I won't be disappointed since I've been excited and expecting to play it by sometime this year. It's been pretty much the most anticipated Ps4 game since it was announced, and they've been teasing a 2015 release for over a year.

I've been anticipating it greatly too, but I can wait. Have plenty of other stuff going on game wise/movie wise and in my actual life that will distract me and keep me occupied haha.

I'd rather they hold it back till it's perfect. But a delay will disappoint many. I'm busy anyway so I'm cool with waiting.

Exactly there is plenty to keep busy with. I'm not relying on this game to be my main focus in life Haha. I really am excited for it and want it badly, but can wait. Tons of other stuff to do in the meantime.

yeah that's true, I've got more urgent things to worry about. some that we've chatted about in the GTA5 thread. I think? it was one of the misc forum threads.

I mean... you don't have to make it sound like it's ruining someone's life just because the game may not meet the expected release date, but if someone is disappointed if that happens, they have the right to be. This goes with any highly anticipated piece of entertainment... hardcore fans... people look forward to it, the year comes, and so does an announcement that they won't get it and it's not outrageous to be bummed out about it.

Oh yeah. I have a tonne of quote notifications to get through so I might be replying to some very old posts!

I'm not saying they can't be disappointed, that's fine. But in the end there is plenty to keep anyone occupied until it's eventually released. It's better not to linger on the disappointment of a delay. The more lingering the worse the wait will be.

They basically just said **** it and used Nolan North for the model unambiguously, haha.

I don't mind delays at all, in fact it makes me happy to see when a game is delayed as it more likely to be an actual finished product upon release. I feel like AAA games have become a joke in the industry due to being unfinished glitchy messes. Indie games provide a more complete game nowadays!

Another game being delayed? Other facts of life: water is wet and fire is hot. For better or worse I'm sick and ****ing tired of every single game I anticipate getting a release date and then being delayed. Enough with the missed deadlines and false promises. Whether it be a delay or a release day glitch game I end up disappointed to some degree. Guess I'm going to have to stop following gaming news and announcements and avoid looking up release dates. Cause it's clear that delays are going to continue to be common. At the very least they could stop announcing release dates so early and just announce a "time frame in which we'd like to maybe possibly release the game in but who knows really anything could happen."

That's what I do. I actually don't know the release date for any games at all apart from SFV which I just read about 20 mins ago and will probably forget within a week. I just treat them all like they're coming out at some point in the future. So many awesome games, I'm not really bothered about the order I play them. Gonna play them all anyway at some point and my backlog is huge.

at this point, we already had the release date of Uc3. I'm pretty sure it was revealed in the 2nd trailer

Blame the publishers. They schedule release dates based on whats best for them financially, not based on what is realistic for developers. And its gotten worse because games are taking longer to make, and publishers are still expecting these high level games to be made in the same amount of time that games were made ten years ago.

That being said, there is NO indication the UC4 is being delayed right now. They're simply hiring more people. This could be for any number of reasons, ie they're filling in vacant positions or they've gotten money to afford more people to make sure the game IS finished on time. It's likely the later, which is nothing out of the ordinary. I'm an artist for a multimedia company and we hire people near the end of production to help get things done occasionally. It's nothing to worry about.

ND picked this release date. They have made it clear they will be more realistic with their release dates after UC3.
