Uncut Gems

Finally watched on Netflix. Great stuff, but I think I have to give Good Time the edge. I just feel like it had a better throughline.

I think I’m going to do a Good Time and Uncut Gems double feature tonight on Netflix. My second time watching Good Time and my first time watching Uncut Gems.

That would do it although I saw it coming half way into the movie.

Sandler is stupid good in this.

Finally got round to seeing this last night, great movie. Adam Sandler was so far removed from his usual schtick that it took a while to get used to his way of talking and moving and that perma-smile, but he was fantastic.

The sound mixing was a mess though, as has been stated by many before me. I ended up with subtitles on at times just to make out what was being said when there were lots of characters in a scene.

Since this thread popped up I wanted remind everyone about 2 other Safdie Brothers movies; “Daddy Long Legs” and “Heaven Knows What”
