Thats why I reckon they need a sequel to Lycans because I reckon Lucian beleives he killed Viktor at that point of time.

He ran a sword through his mouth, he didn't cut his head off. He wanted to make Viktor suffer through the War. He took Viktors castle (which is where they say in the first movie Kraven cut off the branded flesh), and slaughtered his Coven. Killing him would be too easy.

No um Lucien knows he is not dead for raze says we won and Lucien looks pale and says its just the begining which would say too me that Lucien is under the assumption Viktor is likely alive and probably pissed off.
He knew Viktor best so him to get over excited or over confident is not Lucien his misake was trusting allies like Tanis and Kraven.

Exactly BloodyWolverine, Lucian knows that he didn't kill Viktor, just wounded him badly, and now he is ready to War since he has an army of Lycan and Lycan Berserkers at his command.

God, now I just want another chapter between Rise of the Lycans and the first Underworld. But it looks like this is just going to be turned into a TV show instead. :csad:

Are there actual talks of it being made into a TV show already or are you just guessing?

A TV show would suck because you'd never get the same actors back for it and it wouldn't have as big a budget.

Exactly.

If they were to ever make one I wouldn't watch it.

I really liked the first two Blade films but never had any interest to see the TV show. Same with this franchise, I'm happy with the trilogy we have.

I will say I think Lucian thought he killed Viktor. He wanted blood for Sonja's death and was full of rage. He would not let the man who took the love of his life and enslaved him for decades live intentionally if he had the opportunity to take his revenge and avoid being hunted by this maniac.

Now why did he just stab him in the mouth as opposed to cutting off his head or look for the body? Call it an obvious logic gap, because they needed Viktor alive for the war to continue and to be in UW1.

Well, Lucian also found an Army to fight the Vampires, so it's not like he didn't have enough Fang Gang to watch his back. I think the just messed him up badly (remember Victor had to be helped to his coffin chamber on the ship by Tannis), and caused Viktor to go into exile to recover. He had his castle, pretty much wiped out his coven, he was in control.

There is still more story to get from Lycans to Underworld.

Exactly, I want to see in a sequel the transition of how Lucian went from being basically in control to the Lucian in U1 how he had hide in the shadows searching for the Corvinus blood line to make himself more powerful to take down Viktor.

My belief is he wasn't per say needing him for Viktor alone. Lucien knew that he would need Michael to defeat Viktor and Marcus. I am sure Lucien knew the Marcus was the strongest one.

Remember Lucian only had Michael so he could use his blood aswell as Amelia's so he could become the Hybrid he never intended to turn Michael into the Hybrid but it was only after Kraven betrayed him that his plan A turned into plan B per say. Also even though Wikipedia isn't the best for reliable facts it states Viktor only survived because of his "Elder Status".

As for Raze stating they won the war and Lucian says its only the begining implies that the vampires will come back after then to reclaim what is rightfully theirs it dosn't just mean Viktor is alive and he is the only vampire looking for revenge.

this movie aint doing as good as the other two films at the box office...

It's tracking a few million behind the previous films. But I think it's doing pretty well considering.

For a Threequel, it is doing quite well IMO.

A threequel without the lead from the first two as well.

Exactly. Considering Rhona Mitra, Michael Sheen, and Bill Nighey are the top draws in a second sequel, it's doing pretty well.

Finally got to catch this today. I'm a fan of the first two, but thought a "prequel" would be stupid and pointless. Color me surprised! This is a pretty solid film. No complaints.

Who did you guys like better, Selene or Sonja?

For me, I love em both but im gonna have to say Selene(though I prefer Mitra), I just love a girl in leather.

As for an Underworld tv, it wont be the same because it wont have as big a budget and it wont have the same actors, but I'll give it a shot, as long as it isnt like Blade.
