Sorry for the stupid question, but why was it written "unite the seven" on the Aquaman image? Last I heard, there's no Green Lantern in this movie nor Martian Manhunter, so that would make the JL have only six members. Who is this seventh? Or did they change their mind and decided to include Green Lantern later on?

Unless I'm suffering from old man memory, wasn't there also a mention about that same line in BvS?

might just be something they changed their minds about later.
like I said elsewhere the next most popular/well known JL members IMO are the Martian, Shazam (actually has a solo attached), Hawkman/Hawkgirl(being referenced in SS).

I think the seventh member is potentially Mera, since she's the only other metahuman to be focused on. It would also kind of make sense if DC is going the route to have a more gender balanced team, with 2 female team members in Mera and WW, both of which are quite powerful. It can be a big draw for the female fan base, as everything else out there at the moment is very male focused.

I doubt Mera will join... She will have a brief role in JLP1.

I still think it refers to the original 7, just that it could take until the end of JL2 to do it.

The article about how the filmmakers don't know if GL will even be in JL2, is something they seem to be still considering. They don't even seem to know. But I think "Unite the 7" was just to evoke the idea of uniting the Justice League.

Who knows. Who knows wtf they're doing...

I bet Green Lantern Hal Jordan will be in JL. It will be the big reveal.

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say Martian Manhunter.

I hope one of you last two is right. I'd be happy with either one. There was a rumour at one point that Lennox was in fact Martian Manhunter.

Yep definitely. Especially as David Harewood's had success with the character on Supergirl (whether you like the series or not) it's a good thing for him. He'd be an incredible addition to the JL line-up. There's so much pathos to the character and he has much in common with Superman in terms of losing his people and homeworld. Plus with recent scientific discoveries on Mars of water it lends more credence to the idea that Mars was once teeming with life like Earth which some audiences may otherwise have thought less believable as a concept.

Lennix, Harry. General Swanwick.

He would be the link to them all.

In that Snyder interview recently he said referenced uniting "these seven samurai" so we're getting a seventh member I'd guess.

Snyder is supposed to be a visuals guy, right? I can't imagine he would leave out both Green Lantern and MMH, both original founders, from the core line-up. You're missing a lot of a certain color by doing that.

Not to mention unique power-sets unlike Aquaman and Cyborg.....but ahh that is just the fanboy in me.

The seventh should be...the New Robin. I mean how could you not have Robin, who has been at one point an integral member:
latest

Okay, away from jokes i guess i would like to see someone like GL (Hal, John, Guy, Kyle or heck Baz), maybe Plastic Man, someone who can bring something new to the team.

It most likely is referencing the JL with the seventh member probably being either Shazam or GL out of confirmed heroes. The only other confirmed hero in this universe is Katana who I doubt is in contention. I can see the JL part 1 being a GL origin film that gets expanded upon in his own film.

But others theories about the seven could easily be the seven seas as he is king of all water but I was thinking possibly about the seven Atlantean relics from the comics. In the Aquaman and the Orhers storyline from the New 52 Aquaman is part of a six person team called the Others who use six Atlantean objects but soon find out there is a seventh. It may some reference to that and hint towards where his story is going to go and is a possibility due to the Flash using the New 52 suit showing they aren't afraid to take bits from it.

But I do think it's a reference to the members of the Justice League.

I bet Green Lantern Hal Jordan will be in JL. It will be the big reveal.

They're gonna need him. They should introduce the GL Corps, esp. if they go to Apokolips to fight Darkseid. That's the perfect opportunity.

I keep saying it's for the 7 founding members of the JL. After seeing BvS makes more sense to me now.
