Hey, it's possible.

It's my favorite too. Although that will change in '09 'cause the sequel is going to blow SR out of the frickin water.

i still hate what bryan did to lex
how hard was it for him to add lexcorp?

He got him out of prison and made him a billionaire didn't he?

I can't say it's the best movie I've ever seen. But it's close. I certainly like it the best out of all the modern era comic book films.

He had 70 years of Superman history to represent.

Just consider yourself lucky that the writers are tooling with political Lex for the sequel.

Personally I thought this version of Lex suited Spacey's talents the best, I hope he isnt changed too much for the sequel, he was entertaining in a film where Supes and Lois are dead serious.

SR needed that contrast.

I wouldnt say SR is the best movie ever because IMO, its not, BUT, i will say that it is an amazing movie that DOES get better with repeat viewings. And it is one of the best CB movies out there.

i watched it today for the first time since i saw it this summer, when i walked out the theatres dissapointed. i gave it a 7/10 back than. I would give it an 8, with superhero movies such as bbegins and X-Men 2 9s.

God..another thread. Can I now make a "upon repeat viewings, this is the worst movie I've ever seen thread"? Or will the constant "this thread should be deleted (because it is anti_SR) from you SR lovers pop up but a thead like this is okay with you because it validates your opinion.

There is a thread to balance it out, titlted "Superman is Dumb", so now you can't go on a diatribe accusing people of being bias and not allowing freedom of speech. Both threads are open, so if one is closed, so should the other.

We call that..."Even Steven" :cwink:

It's def the best one after 'Superman: The Movie' but after all these years they could've probably come up with something better, with almost 70 years of comic books and stories. Anyway, I gotta see 'Superman Returns' again since the last time I've seen it was in September, when I saw it in theaters.

Saw SR again last night. I was moved. I almost feel violated, it touched me so deep.

:)

hehe.

Ha ha

I do think it is one of the most emotionally charged CB movies out there. Something about it just totally connects with me.

Just as Superman Returns was not Razzie material, it is hardly best movie ever material either.

I thought it was a great movie, but not the best I've seen. The airplane sequence was possibly the best comic book sequence I've seen though.

Yah, it is a great movie..i think anyone should be able to express their criticism, whether good or bad...that's why it's here...we all don't have the same views of a movie

Upon repeat viewing, I find to be the worst movie of all time "In My Opinion"

well, I wouldnt call it the best movie ever, but it is good.

While I don't think it's the best ever, I enjoyed SR very much. Can't wait to see what the sequel brings.

I liked it more and more after repeat viewings. I've narrowed down my gripes to following

I don't think the plane sequence was ever topped. The result of this imo does have a bit of an effect on the pacing of the movie.

Another thing, we should have seen something that happened in space within those 5 years other than finding out Krypton is a graveyard. Such as another solar system, maybe a planet where he has to fight his way off. Put him in immediate danger at the start of the film. I just think knowing there is a 5 year gap and not seeing any of his adventure is a mistake.

Well i think leaving in the RTK scene would have rectified this, hopefully we will see it in the sequel.

fight his way off a hostile planet?
the guy didn't throw a single punch throughout the movie...
what makes you believe he'd do it?

Naturally, if he didn't throw a punch in SR that means he simply can't throw punches at all. Hence, he's not a man.
