Drama USA_White Collar Series Thread

I didn't see the end coming at all. I figured Neal was going to go, and then they'd have to come up with a way to bring him back next season. I just figured Kate hid back in the plane because she didn't know why Peter was there, and he might be coming to take them in.

And luckily I was watching on my laptop so the CGI background behind Neal wasn't obvious until the explosion. :D

Great episode and one of the best ones. Did not see that coming. I thought Neil was gonna get on the plane and Kate was going to hold him at gunpoint. But then DAMN!

And I'm uber psyched it's coming back in the summer! I thought we would have to wait until the fall.

I guess from watching the preview seeing Neal knocked down screaming made me think it was an explosion, but on the other hand, this show doesn't do big explosions so I can see why people would be shocked.

Like most, I really thougt Neal was about to go airborne and leave NYC for his new life with Kate and "Mentor"...I wasn't expecting the plane to explode at all, but that was a great cliffhanger and I can't wait to see where things pick up for season 2. Great episode overall.

And the chick who played Alex was so ****ing hot. I hope for whatever reason she comes back.

I think she will return. I can't wait to see how Mozzie is brought back and his reaction.

Was the Mentor thing developed just in this episode? I've seen all the episodes and don't recall ever hearing of it.

Since Neal is alive, and Peter confirmed that the Mentor program was legitimate, doesn't that mean Neal still has that immunity and whatever they gave him?

I took Kate slinking back into the plane to mean she wasn't sure about Peter being there. I think she is toast. Besides I like Alex and Neal seems to also after all the buildup between the two of them.

I thought it was so cheesy to have Neal sculpting without his shirt on. lol

I also like the rich woman whose house Neal stays at. I'm glad she isn't some gullible old woman but a shrewd woman that sees through Neal's charm.

Mentor was mentioned in the epiosde Hard Sell and was first mentioned in the fall finale Free Fall when Neal burst in on Fowler at the hotel room.

Neal didn't get immunity. Just new identities as undercover OPR agents I believe. So Neal could have to work for OPR.

I think it was more a combination of the fact she never got off the plane that was weird. A wave? Seriously?

I just figured it was the writers keeping Kate out of the way so Peter and Neal can have a final scene together. Peter tries to convince Neal to stay, he goes, at which point we see them both on the plane. Then Neal looks out the window at Peter standing there and we see him having second thoughts.

Neal hasn't touched Kate in 4 years. I would have had my pants off on the tarmac doing it like animals, who cares who sees.

There was never a chance of Neal leaving cause he wouldn't be able to come back. He would have violated the agreement.

And that would have been great to see. Neal tries living the new life with Kate, and realizes it's not him, and not for him anymore. So he breaks his agreement, and comes back to New York, anklet and all.

I don't think so. The deal was 4 years with White Collar division in exchange for the rest of his sentence.

If Neal came back, they'd put him back in jail. This was his second chance at freedom. He doesn't get to have "spring break" with Kate.

Except he'd still be working under the FBI, in a division that supersedes White Collar. It's not like Neal escaped and ran away, the FBI 'transferred' him and legally gave him a new identity. So he technically wasn't breaking the law. Which would give Peter the leeway he needs to be able to bring him back.

I'd expect that once whatever case brought Neal back was solved in the first episode or two, he'd be sent back to prison. And then Peter would offer him the anklet option again, but with some new conditions this time. It's not like the Fed's can't make a new deal once the original is broken. Peter would probably just have a much harder time pushing it through (hence the new conditions). But, of course, none of that's going to happen now.

Although, if breaking the deal with White Collar meant going back to prison, then Neal should still be going back to jail, even after this finale. He took the offer and left the division. The plane blowing up just kept him from physically leaving the city. It might be something the higher ups push for. Neal is stuck in prison while the investigation into the plane is going, and Peter isn't part of the investigation because it's not his division. So they're both out of the loop. Then it becomes Neal's (not so) secret mission, not to find Kate, but to find her killers.

But Neal is already doing it, at least it was implied, with Alex who herself is a hot piece of a$$. I don't think Neal was that horny for Kate, I think it was just the idea of being with her that was pushing him to find her.

I guess that's true. Never thought of it that way. Though, as Peter said, OPR has no deep cover agents so the ID's aren't really any good.

The only persons that know he broke the deal at the FBI-WC are Diana and Peter. Fowler rigged the anklet to appear that Neal was at his apartment the whole time. So after what happened, I can see why Peter won't stop him from coming back.

Felicia Hardy/Peter Parker style flirting. All sexy, no sex.

that's way too sleazy. He never slept with Alex, not yet. Starting the episode banging one chick and ending the episode going after another? No way.

He'll hit it second season.

I very much doubt we've seen the last of Kate. Her getting blown up is just not a satisfying conclusion to the arc we've seen set up in the first season. But it is a great cliffhanger. I'm very much looking forward to season 2.

[BLACKOUT]“That’s what we’ll deal with in these first few episodes—how Neal copes with it. Then, we’re going to jump ahead in time a little bit, so that we don’t have Neal too brooding for too long,” acknowledged Eastin.

Might Neil seek comfort in the arms of a recent ally? “Alex is definitely back in season two. We’re going to play that up. We’ll find out a lot more about what happened between her and Kate and Neal—back before Peter got him,” divulged Eastin. “One of the things I really want to do is an episode where we actually see firsthand that Peter caught Neal. We’ll [also] flashback to see how Kate met Neal, how Mozzie and Neal met. That’s what’s going to happen hopefully during the second half of season two,” continued Eastin. “We’ll actually find out more about a lot of the character’s backgrounds. We’ll learn why Mozzie is called Mozzie.”

Bomer is ironically looking forward to something else. “The anklet will definitely be there,” he laughed. “Candy is my affectionate nickname for the anklet. Candy the canklet is what I call it. I have a feeling she’ll be back for as long as I’m around!”

The USA Network series won’t begin filming until next week, but the show’s creator is already clear on where the season is headed. “Ultimately we’ll find out what secret the music box has. That’s going to be the big reveal in season two,” said Eastin.

In addition to the usual shenanigans, Mozzie has something new up his sleeve. “Mozzie has a lady friend [/BLACKOUT]

God, that's just gonna be sitting there for months now. I have to stay away from this thread. :csad:

Let's just spam and get it lost on an old page somewhere.

Honestly, none of them are Earth shattering stuff. It's just general stuff like, "Desmond will be back in the final 6 episodes" stuff, not "Kate's alive" spoilers.

I just know some people like to go in completely blind so I blacked out.

Well, yeah, 'cause you suggested sarcastically to spam and bump the thread to another page so we'd lose the spoilers, and then the board actually did spam your post. It's the fact that you weren't serious, only to have the server go wonky and the board itself spam your post, that makes it ironic.

I think. :o
