Drama USA_White Collar Series Thread

This is easily the series I've most looked forward to for the resolution of a cliffhanger since the end of Lost season 3. I just have absolutely no idea how Peter could be keeping Kate away from Neal in a way that doesn't do irreparable damage to Peter and Neal's relationship. But there must be a way, since I doubt they're going to switch Peter and Neal to being nemeses from now on. Must... know... now!

The only way to do it would be to make Kate the bad guy as well. She says don't trust the FBI, and Peter says don't trust her.

I too am lost on how they pull this off. I guess the man with the ring could be a decoy and Peter could've tracked down Kate on his own and was confronting her before he brought the news to Neal and the FBI. Of course, that doesn't explain why internal affairs is investigating Peter or why Peter had the ring on. I suppose it could be some deep cover operation that ultimately protects both Neal and Kate, but again, if he is undercover why would internal affairs be on his ass? There are protocols to keep them in the loop if an operative is doing something unethical due to being undercover. I have no clue how they resolve this. I just hope they didn't simply write it for shock value without a good out.

I hadn't thought of Kate possibly being the baddie. That would be an interesting twist.

I don't think she is, but if the intent is to get Neal to stay put then furthering the damsel in distress angle with new info is just going to make Neal search for her more.

I (hope) think we'll get a brief rest for the Kate plot until the last few eps when I guess someone will inform Neal that Kate is still on his side, probably Fowler, and Neal goes back to trying to find her.

i kind of think theres going to be some kind of reveal early on in this episode as far as the kate story goes, and then lingering clues until the last few eps...could be wrong though...really just glad to be getting some kind of resolution tonight

Looks like we aren't getting an early revelation :(

Peter just responded to Neal's claim that its unusual for him to go undercover by saying he has some active aliases. This thing with Kate definitely involves Peter being undercover.

Awesome! I knew Kate would have to look dirty for them to pull that off.

Couple of odd things though.

1. Why would Peter get an image of Kate and the guy with the ring the same day as Neal? Mozzie?

2. Kate waited for Neal for three years then boom, she's obsessed with a music box enough to work for Fowler. What's the deal?

Last night's ep was arguably the best one of the series thus far.
Glad my Bizzaro Jerry suspicions were cleared up.
I just loved the altered DC comic book names in that guy's collection. :hehe:

That Avery guy made that ep for me, haha. "His pride possesion" with his collection of comics was a nice touch. All in all, I'm glad Peter wasn't the one who had Kate but it still raises some questions. I'm looking forward to what "secret" that music box has and what's so special about it.

Just watched last nights ep, absolutely brilliant, great story and superb handling of the big finale twist before Christmas, the Peter/Neal dunamic just went up another couple of notches in this one.

Yep, I also just watched it. I was a bit sad to see the fences between Peter and Neal mended so quickly--I liked the adversarial tone their relationship took for a while there--but it's probably for the best. Can't wait to see what the real deal with Kate is.

I dont know if thats completely mended yet...it was really just peter's side of the story, theres no way to know whether or not he was completely making it up...

either way this episode has me very excited to see whats next

I don't think they are going to change that scene. I'm not sure how many knocks they can allow to Peter's character and still remain the trusted FBI agent.

Burke is just too likeable for me to turn out devious afterall is said and done.

Bizarro Jerry must remain straight-laced. :word:

could it be neal, playing everyone including peter and kate...maybe he's playing way above their heads.

clip for tonights ep...

Watching last weeks episode something didnt sit well with me, when Neal was with Kate and he said '' Pete is my friend'' , that line didnt sit well with me, as I cannot imagine Neal ever saying that.

I thought it was fine. They already had a mutual respect for each other even when they were on opposite sides of the law. Working together, a friendship blossomed pretty quickly in the first few episodes. I mean, you could pretty much see it happening: Neal kept insinuating himself into Peter's life even beyond work--probably to goad Peter at first, but that faded--and Peter resisted at first but couldn't hide the fact that he actually appreciated Neal's advice and help sometimes, especially with his wife.

I was actually losing interest in the show. There wasn't any peril. I was giving this show one last shot and this new episode totally redeemed the series in my mind. Just the right amount of humor and peril to make it very entertaining. :)

Once Peter allowed Neal to stay free in the season finale risking his own career, they progressed beyond a work-release agreement.

Awesome episode. I loved the explanation. I can't wait to see them steal the music box.
