Uwe Boll's The Storm

The notorious Uwe Boll has begun shooting the horror thriller The Storm with Steve Bacic (Andromeda), Lauren Holly (Dumb and Dumber) and Luke Perry (The Fifth Element). Boll is working from a script by by Tim McGregor for Brightlight Pictures.

Shawn Williamson and Dan Clarke are producing with executive producer Andreas Olavarria. The Storm films in and around Vancouver, BC until mid-December.

The Storm concerns a stranger named Silas (Perry) who emerges from a devastating storm seeking refuge with Tom (Bacic) and Gillian (Holly) on their farm. As they struggle to deal with the upheaval and disaster left in the wake of the storm, Silas may be the only one who can help Tom, Gillian and their young son survive. But as the family comes to terms with what they have lost in the storm, they are threatened by a danger that could prove even more catastrophic than the forces of nature.

Brightlight Pictures has collaborated with Uwe Boll on a dozen movies including House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark and most recently In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale starring Jason Statham.

Well, at least it isn't another video game adaptation. Which, perhaps, might be the only positive thing about this movie

Just think, Uwe Boll has become an icon for modern day cinema just because of how bad he is. Its great. He makes Ed Wood look like Scorsese.

Alone in the dark 2, Far-Cry, and Tunnel Rats haven't even come out yet though.

I feel sorry for Brightlight, the only movie they ever made that was succesful was that aquateen movie.

No matter if it's not a video game based movie, I'm sure Boll is just very untalented.
