V/H/S - found footage anthology

Just saw it and I enjoyed it.

The first segment was great! Creepy as hell and as violent too :D
Second one didnt really work for me, I liked the ending but I dont know...
Third one was very funny, I love slashers and you could just feel the makers of this one does too!
Fourth one was weird, I didnt really like the edning as I felt is what a little too over the top, but it was at least set up nicely.
Fifth one was the most entertaining one although a little predictable, but it did what it set out to do and it did it with quality.

The second segment is going to be really underrated. I can already tell. The fact that Ti West was able to use his suspense and tension fueled style effectively with little allotted time is amazing.

Still can't get over that scene, it's gonna haunt me for a while.

I will give the movie this; It does have equal opportunity of sexual objectification.

Ive only finished the first part, i need to finish the rest. Whatever anyone does dont send me a link or anything to see it!!!

Awesome film and arguably the best horror anthology film ever crafted. 9/10.

All the segments were solid & the retro vibe was awesome.

What's your worst horror anthology film?

Tales From The Darkside. The show was so good but the film was weak.

Before V/H/S I'd give the #1 spot to Trilogy of Terror (Karen Black's battle with the doll is iconic).

Why didn't you like V/H/S?

Other than the second(guys with demon/vampire girl) and last(haunted house) stories, it was just really bad short films. The thief one being the main story arc was just bad, the st up for the v/h/s' being stolen in this one was just lazy and wasn't done well; The newlywed couple one was just long, boring and had no payoff; The girl with the ghosts(who do nothing?) and skype boyfriend made absolutely no sense; And the teens in the woods crap with horrible writing, horrible acting, and a bad rip off/homage to Slender Man.

When only two of the 6 short stories of an anthology movie are decent-good, it's a bad movie.

I liked all the segments. Slender Man was the weak one though but still worked for me.

I agree with you on the set up story, that was incredibly weak. However the one with the couple was classic build up horror with one of the best scares in the movie. The Skype one is effective because it is like a schizophrenic's conspiracy theory come to life. It doesn't make sense, but that is what makes it terrifying. While I liked the slasher story, it is easily the weakest not counting the wrap around.

If you don't mind me asking what made you not like the Ti West short? It was great suspense.

The weak one for me was the intruder one, the twist felt like something M Night thought of.

Regarding the Skype segment, anyone have any idea what these women were giving birth to? Hybrid aliens maybe?

Just saw this and other than having some creepy moments I found the movie to be bad. I'm scratching my head over the great reviews it's been getting. I'm glad it seems all of the characters died, they were all jerks, bad actors, and/or just annoying to look at.

I think the segments I enjoyed was the 2nd and the last one with the exorcism. Other than that, bleh.

Just got done watching it, I'm a little confused with "The Sick Thing That Happened to Emily When She Was Younger" (the skype segment). What the crap was that all about?! Aliens?
