I count to Ten and then I take their head out of the water.

I count to ten... as I toss their fingers aside one by one.

hmm...well I wouldn't put it that way but I guess that'll work too.

haha, spidey 2 and x-men 2 are kid movies.

rating has nothing to do with it, shrek is an adult movie in disguise as a kid's movie and that has a lower rating.

certification around that frame has little bearing on how adult a film is.

all the american pie and teen movie films are really geared towards 12-14 yr olds and that's why they can get away with 40 year old people playing kids, because the audience doesn't know any better themselves.

spidey films are kid films a large part of it, especially the second one. x-men is more mature, i don't know about the second one. The mos mature of all the films of this rating put out is batman returns and way above the rest is the hulk.

you can't put any kid infront o the hulk and expect them to get it, the only reason it was that low was that they wanted to sell the really aweful hulk gloves they thought were a good idea

smell the coffee folks

:p

I think it's the fact that their origins are comics, which the national audience regard as " kiddy " so they automatically label the films the same.

"Comic books are for boys"

That just drives me nuts!!!

Super-heroes have always been marketed towards children but the comic books are aimed towards teenagers primarily. :)

People like to label other people, especially when they don't understand.

Yeah, I get laughed at for liking for comics and also the way I dress sometimes. :o:(

People should get a real life of their own

They are!! Haven't you noticed how women are portrayed in comic books? It's obvious that it's meant for boys and men. There's always subliminal lesbian themes hidden in comics everywhere. Even my favorite comics and video games are not exempt from the big boobed hotties running around in high heels.

They aren't just meant for boys. Girls like boobs too. They can relate, because they have boobs too :D:up:

Comic books are marketted toward boys, yes, but that doesn't mean that girls shouldn't enjoy reading them too.

Girls can get away with liking anything that is aimed towards boys but if a boy/guy played with Barbies...it would just be plain wierd. :o

Girlz shouldn't read comic books. They should read Oprah, Vogue, Playgirl, and Cook books.

When people say things like, "Spider-Man is for babies!" "X-Men is a kid's movie!"? Even though Spider-Man and X-Men are rated PG-13 and not G or PG? I hate it when people just say that. It makes you feel like a little kid watching, or liking that stuff. It hasn't happened to me for over a year, but it still ticked me off.
Spider-Man and X-Men aren't exactly kiddy movies. They have violence and cussing.

Does anyone else get told things like that? What do you tell them?

Hate to break it to you, but ratings do little to decide what is or isn't a kid/adult movie. Spiderman is mostly marketed at kids. Most of the world of comic books holds for the most part a black and white set of mores easily understood by children. Except for some of the comics you know are targeted at adults.

America has a stringent rating system. In America, import movies like "The city of the lost children" (by the director of Amelie) are rated R. Purely a childrens movie.
