First thing people do when they learn a weapon or weapon part might be banned because of mass shootings is to go out and buy them because you never know when you might need to use it yourself...? I have no idea where the gun culture gets the idea these things are good ideas.

There is a big difference in stocking up supplies to survive and stocking up on weapons/parts meant for no other use than mass homicide. That is the part I don't understand. The same people who think 10,000 cans of beans is a good idea also want to have 10,000 rounds of ammunition and an automatically firing weapon in case some vague future government take over comes about. As if they would stand a chance against a well armed, trained and experienced military.

Some hypothetical villainous government wouldn't even need drones. They could take a page out of the evil dictator playbook and just poison gas them.

There is a hundred different ways you can get wiped out by a major force in conflict that guns couldn't do s*** about.

And knowing so much of the populace is armed, any evil government strikes against the populace would take that into account and not directly engage with them. There are as stated more nefarious ways to subjugate the populace if that were ever to happen. Which it won't, but it won't change the minds of those who are certain it will.

Murren declared that he'd match all donations from his employees to CAIR, and radical left wing anti -Trump groups like Southern Poverty Law Center and ADL - Anti-Defamation League. His wife, Heather Murren also worked for the Obama administration on Obama's "Commission for Enhancing National Cybersecurity" in 2016.

but, wasn't he pretty well off financially?i seem to recall hearing that. what happens to his funds during something like this? they should be used to care for services for the victims in the shooting.

i seem to recall celine dion having a concert and donating all the proceeds to their families as well. that was very cool

I would think a class action suit would be in the works. He was a millionaire and it seems only fair.

One of the victims families is already on that asking for his assets to be frozen and kept under government control until it can be settled.

If he earned that money legally the government shouldn't do anything with it. It belongs to his next of kin. If they want to donate some of it or all of it they can.

Considering the government can't and won't do anything to stop these mass shootings I think the government should pay for the victim's funerals, and pay the medical and therapy bills of the wounded. Oh and anyone permanently disabled should
be immediately given adequate disability pay. A government that spends billions on war and weapons of mass destruction can afford to do that. But the government won't do that. Instead it will send out "thoughts and prayers".
