How soon everyone forgets -
On July 22, 2011.....Anders Behring Breivik killed 77 people in NORWAY https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anders_Behring_Breivik
I dunno why everyone is acting surprised as if this isnt something our country hasnt already accepted as a normal thing and not worth doing anything about. I mean, the Sandy Hook shooting has how many murdered children? And yet still nothing was done to prevent this from happening again.
Spoiler alert: this is going to happen again.
Of course it will happen again. We Americans just love our guns.![]()
The question that should be asked is -
Are more guns making everyone secure ?
58 dead
500+ in the hospital![]()
The numbers are crazy here. So many people affected.
Definitely need stricter gun control laws.
err, statistics have already answered that question.

Apparently the rumor mill is that he was affiliated with Antifa as is his girlfriend, but it's speculation. I really hope not because you know who will have a field day.
Sorry, hard to tell sometimes. It was a rhetorical question. Anyway, this incident also answers it.
I've seen a few people claim he was a leftist with zero proof.
When I ask for a source, the person never replies.
I doubt he was antifa, from what I read he worked for a major defense contractor at some point (forgot which one, I think Lockheed)

It really doesn't matter what his political leanings are (were). Using someone being center, right or left as a political statement when something like this happens is the worst, lowest form of opportunism (and I've seen someone from just about every political persuasion do it). The ONLY time, I would say it is justified is if the group that you belong to has a stated political agenda that coincides with abhorrent acts. There are people on the left who are frelling CRAZY (believe me) and I'm sure the same can be said for those on the right. If there are 1 million people who profess to follow a particular ideology of any sort, I can promise you that at least a few of them are people you want to stay as far away from as possible.
The very first thing that crossed my mind (beside the feeling of repulsion) when I heard about this was "What kind of person wakes up in the morning and says to themselves 'Hey, I've got a good idea.......'"
Hmm let's see.
Gunman is dead. Check.
The world pays lip service to the victims. Check.
Americans fight online about gun control. Check.
The president tweets something. Check.
Nothing changes. Check.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Just wondering, does Norway have other similar cases before and after this incident?

At least on automatic weapons surely something has to change. Not sure why those would ever be needed by civilians. One person can cause so much carnage otherwise. Also noone should be allowed more than one gun and maybe ammo should be limited to 1 clip.
