Ok, I have been hearing many threads talking about you people wanting to see Venom make a comeback. I know why you feel this way, Sam Rani really screwed up the character in SP3 and I would love to see him done right.

Now, I do disagree that in order to have Carnage you need Venom. There are other ways to do that character justice, mainly good writing.

And speaking of good writing, this is what confuses me.

How the hell would you people explain Venom coming back when Sami had Brock AND the symbiot killed in SP3?

That one just seems like too much of a leap of faith for any plot to take.

But I am very interested to read the kind of excuses you guys would come up with, and maybe, one will actually not sound ******ed. :whatever:

I could really careless if Venom comes back, do I think it would be cool? Yes. The writers could come up a great many excuses to bring him back.

A. Connors symbiote sample could replicate it's self, crawl it's gooey butt back to the construction site and rebond with Eddie's bones.

This wouldn't work for me because that sample has none of Eddie's dna.

A.2. A sample from the construction site is still alive, same thing happens.

B. They could go with what I heard alot of board members say and just say that the symbiote pulls Eddie away in time.

But we see his bones in the blast so scratch that.

C. They could bring in Eddie Brock Sr. (also a board favorite) And have him get revenge on Peter for killing his kid.

Personally I think that the Eddie Brock Venom is done for until we get some kind of reboot in 20-30 years.

20-30 years?
Not willing to wait that long.
I can wait 3-7 years but not 20-30.

Well, there are a number of ways, how effective they really are is anyones guess;

1) The Venom movie isn't in continuity with Spider-Man 3.

2) Somehow, someway Eddie Brock and the symbiote survive the explosion at the end of Spider-Man 3. Maybe he was thrown from the blast site, yeah, I seen the skelaton too, but we can just ignore that. :cwink:

3) Eddie Brock/symbiote are revived by some pseudoscience*

4) As mentioned already, Eddie Brock Sr. can take revenge.

*Personally, I would go with this choice. I would make it a form of regeneration, and in this case, an extreme case of regeneration.

Yea I forgot regeneration, it's going to be interesting to see what they come up with. And hopefully the Venom movie will have a cameo of El Spidey-o.

Agreed. I realize a lot of people will disagree with that, but it's an option regardless. But I still think it would work, we have to remember the symbiote is an extraterrestrial. It's very different from the life we know, it's life we don't know so to speak. So maybe it can do things that would be new to us, okay, regeneration isn't new knowledge, but maybe the symbiote is better at it.

I really don't know, this is grasping for straws, at best.

I'm all for the Symbiote somehow protecting Brock. The skeleton flash maybe explained as an X-ray effect from the bomb or some BS. I dislike a Brock Senior theory. Oh well, we shall see. Personally I'm more interested in Venom's appearance in Spectacular Spider-man then i am in his future film appearances.

He's not going to come back... it would be harder than bringing Cyclops back considering we didn't actually see Cyclop's bones turn to powder.

Well Venom is apparently returning for a movie based on him.

It's not a question on how Venom would return but why would we care.

Venom was phony in Spider-Man 3, me playing with a Venom action figure was more exciting than that. If he returns, would he be a better fighter and actually do something cool this time?

He's already getting his own movie anyway.

Well Arad does run his mouth off quite a bit these days... I don't see why Sony would bother with a spinoff. Plus its probably going to be based on a different character playing Venom. If its Brock and they use a different actor or different continuity to SM3 (which they pretty much have to do if they can't find a good way to bring him back) then the movie will be hardpressed to be much better than a Ghost Rider. But if that's what you want I say go for it.

The easyest way i could see to bring him back would be to say he truly bonded with the symbiote and can take a liquid form simular to the way he does in the clip i have posted below. But the way he should be introduced woule be at the end of a film as a cliff hanger. Just have peter go to see aunt may and her say I had no idea you invited a friend over cut to brock saying hello parker and ade out build the hype for the next one.

and i know the series was crap just the easyest way to bring him back

just had another idea, how about doing the maximum cloneage story for sm4 and end with sheild seising the jeckals hideout and them going through the place and one of the officers says to fury "its wasnt only parker he was working on" and pan to a test tube with eddie inside it half suited. dont ask me how they got a sample but you get the idea

I got one:

Eddie Brock's body was destroyed in the blast, but the second Eddie jumped in to save the symbiote, he permanently bonded with him and was able to transfer his consciousness to it. The reason for this is because the alien came from space and it's science-fiction. The alien duplicated Eddie's DNA in a split second and in that way, will be able to regenerate Eddie Brock's physical body over a long period of time. Like the Spider-Man movie after next.

Now, when Venom shows up, he'll have gooey shape-shifting powers kind of like Sandman, and he'll make more sharp, knife constructs like Carnage. Also, since he's permanently bonded he'll refer to himself as "We", instead of "me". And finally, and most importantly, he'll outright call himself "Venom." So Spider-Man and the rest of New York will know what his name is.

P.S. Venom's gonna kill Gwen Stacy. Ye-yuh!!

What if Harry became Carnage? ... Crazy yes, but before the symbiote/Eddie died, let's say a part of it attacked/latched itself to it's next victim and host in a last ditch effort of survival. Harry being nearby and dying, a small part of it bonds to him putting his body in a deep stasis to assist in healing him back to health. Believed to be dead, Peter and Mary Jane let the paramedics take the body away.

In the morgue, the wound in which bled Harry's life blood is now oozing bloodied symbiote material, slowly covering his body. With a part of Eddie Brock's personality still left in the symbiote, Harry is driven mad by a duel personality, causing him to indescriminately kill people while he searches for who he really is... Carnage is born!!!

How's that for a Carnage introduction?

Venom returns by the science of bad writing

I still think the sample Connorswill escape and finds a new host. There have been other Venoms.

I dunno if you watched SP3 but....both Brock and the symbiot BURNED to nothing.

This is why this whole thing is funny, the writers really wrote them self's into a corner with this one.

In Spider-Man 3, Venom is the ultimate manifestation of Peter's dark side; defeating him is the final step in Peter's redemption. Resurrecting him just for the sake of seeing more of Venom fighting would ruin the meaning of SM3, just like bringing back Norman and Ock would ruin the meanings of the other two movies.

Well, I don't think Venom should return in a Spider-Man film, but if he was to return, I'm not how he would. The same goes for the Venom spin-off film, which makes me think that they may have to change continuity or something. I mean, we saw Brock's skeleton in the explosion and there basically was nothing left after the eexplosion. I'm sure he can returni n a spin-off film, but I'm just not sure how they will do it.

I should note in my post regarding how Venom would return, I was referring to the supposed Venom movie, not Spider-Man 4 etc. As far as I'm concerned, the Spider-Man movie franchise doesn't need reoccurring villains.
