I like what they had to say. Eddie should be a conflicted and tortured soul. A man who,deep inside is a good person,but has become corrupted by the symbiote. And as Venom,he should be this vicious,scary and brutal creature. I really don't want the whole "anti-hero" stuff though. That's what kind of ruined the character in the 90's. Venom should be a villain,but maybe the lesser of 2 evils? Assuming Carnage is the other villain.

They can't do it because they screwed him up already. They'd need to reintroduce him in Spider-Man again with better casting. If not, it really doesn't make much sense.
