The Reason Behind the Ending

seeing Venom die really brought me down, especially the way he died BUT i watched it again and ive come to terms with it. i also heard the rumor about how he might be back and i honestly dont care how they do it, as long as hes back. in actuality though, its not the symbiote so much that i didnt want to see die, i didnt really care that much but Eddie dying really sucked, i liked his character so much albeit the short time he was in the movie

I think harry is the one who is going to come back..im not sure if anyone noticed but the guy kept healing from his wounds fast

Harry is dead.....We saw him die and we saw him being buried. His a goner. As for Venom I do belive he could be still alive.

However, did you see what happened between the death scene and the funeral? No. Did you see a body in the casket? No.

So, isn't it possible that Venom went to him also and worked this whole thing out for a better battle later or maybe he worked this out all on his own. Also, he didn't die in the comic so why would he here?

I am not saying you are wrong or right, I am just saying it is possible.

...well guys, if you think about it. If they want to make a fourth Spider-man...

I'm sure all they would do is say:

"Eddie got blown off the side of the building with the symbiote still attached to him"

or...

"The symbiote merged with his body and allowed him to swing away in time"

or...

"The symbiote merged with him and he got blown off the side of the building and knocked unconscious, that's why he didn't show up at the end of the movie, because he was knocked out.

...if they want to bring him back, which they COULD DO...I think they will, if a fourth movie is made...

Like...come on, they worked in the fact that Sandman was the real killer of Ben Parker...

I'm sure they could say that Venom escaped in the nic of time...

Death of Venom was really a waste of a decent character. And Raimi, I believe did not kill him off because of hatred for the character, he
actually liked the character when Topher played him, he mentioned that in Comic-Con press conference. Personally I think inclusion of
Sandman was just because Raimi and Tobey liked him and wanted him in there, while us millions of fans wanted Venom. Sandman's story was
forced in the already well explained story, but Venom could have been something fresh. Who says Venom couldn't have served as the main
villain, if Raimi wanted to he could have easily made the character with more depth. Taking out Sandman could have allowed for more new
stories to take place rather than going back to finding Uncle Ben's killer and re-doscovering the hero within thing. We could have seen much
more of MJs relationship and much more of Eddie Brock, plus more of the conflict between two best friends, Harry and Peter. This movie just
didn't had that essence of the last two installments, but was good one way or another. Its not that Im against Sandman, but forcing in a story like
that and in the end cutting so many scenes that relate to it was just not right. Also, Venom's possible death suited well only if he had got enough
screen time. After reading that article on Foxnews, Im not taking out the possibilty that he may have survived even though I saw the skeleton
myself.

"I thought it would be unfair to [the fans]," he said of breaking the storyline up. The consequence of that decision is that fans may have to wait a bit to see the full-fledged supervillain in all his glory in Spider-Man 3." Raimi talks Venom, from scifi.com
I would 've waited for Venom to appear in all his glory in 4.

If they want to bring him back they will. There are a million ways to explain how he survived.

Yeah, it makes sense to wrap him up come the end of the movie. BUT, that is exactly why he simply should not have been thrown in. It truely should take two films to do Venom justice.

Well, not just Venom, but you would need the whole black suit and setting up Eddie to be a sub-plot through out one film, and have Venom come about in a second.

I agree, Venom did have to die. I was sad to him go and do hope they bring him back in some future instalment.

Same here. I loved Topher and the actual character itself, but it had to be done if this is infact the last go-around for Tobey and the gang. And although I really enjoyed the Goblin character in this movie, he also had to go - and let's face it, we saw it coming from the first movie.
