Captain Marvel Very subtle comics reference regarding one specific secret location (SPOILERS)

Spoiler alert for the movie

So the movie has a lot of different Easter Eggs, but this one felt like it would otherwise slip through the cracks. One of the locations of the movie was Pegasus, which is a reference to Project Pegasus in the comics. This top secret location was often a staple of Marvel continuity (particularly Marvel Two-in-One), although it seems to have been downplayed recently. One of the big stories involving Project Pegasus also involved the Cosmic Cube. Likewise, Pegasus in the movie was connected to the Tesseract - Marvel's stand-in for the Cosmic Cube in the MCU.

Anyway, thought that was a nice subtle reference that was otherwise likely to be missed and felt like sharing.

Same. I sometimes forget everyone isn't a lifelong comic book geek like me. Thinking about it now I'm sure most people who saw the movie didn't know (or care, heh).
