Wow, the premiere! That's a surprise. But good to see that they're not just copying the format of the first season.

I think it's also just knowing how easily this audience can be turned off by certain things. When the new season premieres, it will have been 6-7 months since the finale. That's a long gap, and dragging the mystery even further would only piss people off.
