They could just do a shared agreement, since it is partially owned by Nintendo and Rare, just make it available for XBL and VC, it would please both fan bases and they just keep their respective profits from it.

I hope some of those confirmed titles come sooner than later. (Super Mario RPG and Super Metroid)

I think I remember that game! I was only five, so my opinion doesn't count on it's quality, though.

Well, I finally got my wifi router hooked up and set up connect24.

I downloaded Mario Brothers, Ecco, and Bonk's Adventure.

I am one pleased retronaut.:woot:

Anyone know when Ocarina of Time comes out or there's no official date, yet?

I don't think a release has been officially announced. I think we'll have it by the end of the year though.

End of the year=$$$

I can't wait to get a Wii now. At first I wanted one.. then it dwindled.. Now with all the praise it's getting, I really want one.

There are no confirmed dates for many of the games. The games that I have listed as coming out Dec 11 are only confirmed to be coming out by the end of the year. The Future Releases have no date whatsoever.

I'm still disappointed because I haven't heard a single word about Super Mario World. :( I don't even think Nintendo has sent it to the ESRB for re-rating.

Speaking of your first post, I can't wait for R-Type.:woot:

I just thought of the fact that I really want Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 to hurry and be released.

GROOVY!!!!

I had EWJ on the SNES but the Genesis version did have an extra level so hopefully they put that one on the VC.

Pocky and Rocky and the very rare Pocky and Rocky 2, which I never played.

I don't know if anyone ever played this, but I want it on VC. It was a puzzle game and despite the strange animation was surprisingly fun and challenging.

I dont´support illegal downloading..but i do it :(
And i blame the companies for it...
Why?
For one, they are stupid.
Second, they are greedy.
A third, i would never buy a console just because of old games, no matter how much i love them (and i do).
And, like me, there are many people out there.
What should be done is for the companies to create a huge website, where you can download all games, for a symbolic fee.
Say $10.00 for 20 games or so, because some games are more than 20 years old.
I would gladly pay for them
Besides, many of the games are not illegal, because there are plenty of emulation sites that don´t allow protected games, and they have the games above.

But i´m all for what Nintendo is making with the VC, just arrives a bit too late for many, because they already have download the roms.
And one question, why in hell doesn´t Nintendo put all games for download and get over with it, why put them in the VC as they please?
It´s not like they don´t have the games to put on the VC.

If you do it, you support it.

Also when they don't allow the download of a protected game, it's just because the company in question raised a stink about it. It doesn't mean the other games on the site are now allowed to be downloaded.

§ 302. Duration of copyright: Works created on or after January 1, 19784

(a) In General. — Copyright in a work created on or after January 1, 1978, subsists from its creation and, except as provided by the following subsections, endures for a term consisting of the life of the author and 70 years after the author's death.

Anything created after this year is under copyright law and is illegal to download.

My bad.
When i said i didn´t supported it, i meant, i don´t like to do it, because believe when i say, i don´t like one bit.
So, why do i do it?
Like i said, companies are stupid and greedy, and they deserve to be "ass raped", until they learn.
And i love old 8 bits, 16 bits, 32 bits....games...

I´m not even going into the fact that the games cost too damn much, when they are in much lower cost than, say, a movie.
It´s stupid, ridiculous, moronic, you name it, not to allow to download games that were made in the 80´s.
No one will buy a NES in this day and age, much less to play 1 or 2 games.
Any person with half a brain would want for people to continue to play their games, more than to make money when there is not place for it, not when it comes to games on NES, Master System, Game Gear, Genesis, SNES, TurboGrafx 16, Turbo Duo.....you name it.
People that don´t have those will not buy them, and even if they did, they will not be able to get games for it anymore.
Hence the "companies are stupid and greedy" and deserve to be ass........you know the deal.

While I was lecturing I wasn't condemning you at all. I understand that companies are very silly and greedy when it comes to their old games. Plus most companies don't pursue the downloaders, but some companies do make a stink. Mostly it's huge major ones. Nintendo, Square Enix, Konomi, and such usually are the frontrunners when it comes to the raising stinks about it.

I just don't do it. And I wanted to show you that even thuogh it is silly to raise a stink about a twenty year old game, they are still protected under the copyright law, no matter what game creation it is.

Sorry for lecturing. :O

I lecture alot, and it drives my wife crazy too.

It´s not like they don´t have the games to put on the VC.
They have to convert them and work out the controls.
