Hi everyone,

What's the look you would love to see for Galactus? For me I would love to see something like this

As in wreathed in darkness, very mysterious but definitely kirbyesque. What about you?

I wouldn't want Marvel to hide anything of Galactus. They had no issues showing us a giant Celestial in Guardians of the Galaxy.

So they should give us Galactus in all his glory.

Little bit of both. Awe inspiring.

The only major thing I can see them changing about the character is his color scheme... they'll probably make him red and black, or something like that.

I can see them keep the blue and purple. The celestials is a good example but I could see them making him look more natural, like instead of metal armor something that looks more like stone. Make him appear like some sort of Aztec god. I was really hoping he would look like that when we saw him in Rise of the Silver Surfer. I felt the "cloud" was a good replacement for his ship, made it seem more like a force of nature and I was really expecting him to be on a throne made of the clouds but all we got was vague energy in shape of his helmet, which technically is true just really lame. But the number one thing Galactus needs is a presence, the audience show be in awe and terrified of the sight of him and that comes more towards shooting, lighting, editing, and music than the design.

But one of the many things Marvel excels at is design, pretty much everything they've done is spot on. So I'm very excited to see what they do with these characters we've seen before.

Im not a fan of Galactus having a visible human-looking face. My preference would be for him to be fully armored up with only his eyes visible peering out through his face mask. I see the MCU version as a being of pure energy in a humanoid containment suit.

Galactus should look like Galactus. I could see making the colors more muted (more of a burgundy rather than purple), but that's it. The shadow thing is fine. But, if you're going to do Galactus, don't be afraid of Galactus. I think RotSS and Green Lantern have demonstrated that audiences don't have any love for death clouds anyway. A line that Galactus appears to everyone how they're most comfortable seeing him would be an adequate explanation and canonically supported, but I don't see any need to do more.

Heck, show a few flashbacks of Galactus feeding on other Planets, and in each quick flashback he looks different, because each species perceives him differently. Stick to the original design, don't try to re-work him.

Don't mess with the King. Perfection.

I've always loved this bit of explanation. That said... If they chose a comic accurate look that maybe has a few changes, say, no visible mouth, then... Fine. Given the size of Galactus's ship you could keep him offscreen for a quite a bit and then wow the audience with his immense size and godlike presence.

Yeah, I loved that particular story, where Galactus is conceptualized as a force of nature, rather than a person.

To be honest the classic blue and purple armoured look works for me, but maybe slightly muted. However, he face and eyes need to be something really see inspiring - not just chi garbage like Steppenwolf, but something that makes Thanos look very tame in comparison.

Personally I loved the look of MCU Dormammu, so much more impressive than a big flaming head. If they similarly change big G's look but keep the sense of awesome power, then I could live with that.

I wish I was allowed to swear on this website so that I could say f that's hot.

Thanks for all the pics so far everyone! Great suggestions

Personally, I'm not a fan of this. It's a nice way to provide a reasonable explanation for why a god-like alien entity would look so human, but I say "Screw it. That's just the way he looks."

I don't need a logical explanation for why a person could burst into flames or stretch, and I don't need an explanation for why Galactus looks like he does.
That's just the way it is. And GOTG has shown us that we can have a universe filled with aliens who are basically human without audiences rebelling.

I'm honestly thinking they should make him some sort of large smoke cloud to save budget.

I have always liked the idea that for each race Galactus appears different, but with that said we are Human. Therefore him appearing somewhat human in appearance to us makes the most sense and this allows his classic look or something similar to be very obtainable. Especially if used with that explanation, as it could provide a great justification for his look being so Human like to the audience.

At least that is how I see it.

^Sometimes an explanation isn't enough to change the feel of a character. If it's just a one line explanation and him looking different in different places doesn't play into the plot, it feels contrived, imo.

This. Don't mute his colors, the colors aren't what invite thematic dissonance, it's the fact that he looks like he has more in common with Giant Man that a Celestial, and that's just not true. Cover his mouth, keep the colors, the helmet, the size, EVERYTHING else.

With a less Humanoid face Galactus will most likely just become a part of the Celestial Family and not his own thing. So, no thanks! Also, I don't think it would be hard to explain this to people. They could even do a flashback of the Silver Surfer telling the Fantastic Four about Galactus destroying planets and they could show him consuming another world and looking completely different then he does to us, because that is how that race perceives him. Then have him look more humanoid when he arrives to earth with the explanation of his power being so great and unimaginable that peoples limited minds are forced to translate his image into something more understandable.

I don't know it makes sense to me.
