Galactus Being Saved for Silver Surfer

I dunno. Why even bother putting in the silouhette if there was no intention to have anything in there? Are you saying the original intention was for Galactus to look like a Human Torch version of his regular self? I really do believe them when they say they were holding off on showing him in his full form because that last effort was not even needed. They could have just left it at a big storm of energy but they put something in there to hint that there was something more to it.
