wow, I've been following this thing for a long, long time, since before I actually joined the site. The trailer looks great, looking forward to the finished product

Thanks for your interest and I'm glad you're enjoying what you see, and the same to everyone else that have been following this thing. I'm working really hard to get it finished and finally seeing daylight. In the next few weeks I might post some actual scenes. So stay tuned.

wow, you did all this, wrote a script, created 3D drawing, and are ready to make a cartoon? Why don't you create original stuff that you can sell, and make millions on?

Not bad, dragon. When do we get a gander at that martial arts motion picture you said you were directing in china?

Yeah, this thing has been cooking for a LOOOOOONG time! Can't wait to see some new stuff!

Some updates are coming...it's just that of late I'm not working on the glitzy spidey stuff, but the dramatic dialogue scenes and such. But I'm just about 90 minutes into this thing. So things are progressing at a good pace. And to put things in perspective reagrding the time factor, I was recently watching "The Incredibles" commentary, and they were working on that for four years with over a hundred animators. So I'd say I'm doing pretty good.

People forget that it takes Pixar about 4 years per film.

The whole production is really impressive. Can't wait to see more from the piece!

Well. I'm finally back online. Thanks for hanging in there folks. I won't get into the laundry-list of crap I've been through in the last year and a half, but suffice to say that it slowed my progress to a crawl. But now that I've got some new tech ( just got a new computer that flies and will be getting another soon) I can really get rolling again. So expect updates at a faster pace.

A few new screen shots:

Props for keeping this going. True commitment. I have to say, and this isn't supposed to be hurtful or anything, it's just with the influx of animated movies, your film looks like an animatic, but it is all your own work which is highly admirable. What program you using for the models and environments?

I can't be hurt by that man. The movies you're talking about average in a 150million bucks (Wall-E cost 180 mil).

Plain and simple, I'm not trying to compete with anyone. I'm making the movie
I want to see. Also, to be clear- everything I've shown thus far is generations away from the final cut. This is just the animation and initial render stage. After I have a rough-cut of the entire film, I'll go back in and clean-up shots, add new ones and where necessary, do new animation from scratch. Then I do a final render with corrected lighting, raytracing and so forth.

As for the programs- I'm using 3ds Max for the models and animation. I use Combustion for FX & compostiing and have been doing the edit in Abode Premiere, but will do the final edit with Avid.

Dragon, everything you've posted is quite spectacular and I can see how much effort you've put into this project thus far. You've been working on this animated movie for quite sometime and the dedication you have is very impressive. I can't wait to see the final product! When do you think it'll be complete?

They look awesome, Dragon. I especially love the Green Goblin's look.

Great to have you back, mate!

That means alot coming from a Doc Ock fan :cwink: Thanks for the welcome back, Mr. J... BTW- can't wait to get to work on the Good (Bad) Doctor in ther sequel.. That's why I had to isert a shot of him in this one :woot:

Acturus: Thank you for your kind words. As always I'm happy when someone enjoys my work. I don't want to speculate on exactly when I'll be finished. I hoped to be done already, but life gets in the way. Although the finish line is in sight.
