Voice Actors needed for my Animated Spidey movie..

That was great voice acting!!!

Who is playing Uncle Ben? No offense to anyone...but it somehow reminds me of a voice you'd hear on like...Winnie the Pooh or something.

Also, is that final rendering? It doesn't look like it.

It is final rndering. But there are things that lower the quality. for one thing it's half the resolution. Also it's an AVI and uploading to photobucket further lowers the quality. It's a bit darer and more high contrast than the full render.

As ofr the voice acting, the one playing Unlce Ben is altering his voice to sound older than he is. He also plays Mendel Stromm in the movie. But I think he gives an excellent performance as Ben which is underlined by further dialogue done in the film.

Ah, yes. This would explain it. It still looks great! Hopefully we'll get to see the higher resolution?

Wow! Acting to sound old?! I thought it was just an older person doing the lines :o. They get the props from me for being able to manipulate their voice so well

I enjoyed the clip!! Ben sounds a little weak..but it works!
I can't WAIT to see the rest:D

Cool clip! Kinda wish I could redo the voices for the first film... I know a lot more about voice over acting as well as just plain acting in general these days.

So here's a retake of the lines from the clip above:

AND because of putting up with my actor insecurities, I'm also enclosing an outtake of me as Spider-Man that features some improvised dialogue not found in the script... I think you'll all enjoy it!

Amazing clip Dragon!

Great job on the voice Thresh!

Great voice work, Thresh.

Thanks! Make sure you check out the fun audio clips from this post:

I thought it'd be fun for people to hear Spidey through a line that isn't going to be making it into any of these movies! ;)

That is great stuff, Thresh, but then you're an extremely talented actor.

But honestly, the more naive tone in the original stuff you did for Spidey 1, I think kind of suits Peter at that point better. The re-do you sounds like a more knowing Peter than the guy who's still shaken by all this stuff that's happening to him. The stuff you did for Spidey 2 shows a Peter who is growing up in the midst of all these crazy experiences and is maturing because of it.

At any rate, your work on these films keeps me inspired to churn it out, and I'm looking forward to hearing what you'll do with Spidey 3 and 4 ;)

Oh and if you could get those fighting grunts to me that'd be great too :woot:

Dragon, you sure do know how to butter a gir... actor up! I'm going to school for acting and I'm honestly pretty mediocre at best. I've done the training, so all of this incredibly fun Spidey stuff is merely just stuff that any old person can do with the right vocal range and the appropriate classes under their belt.

You're absolutely right, I just wanted to show off my new skillz... ;)

You know that if you write 'em, I'll talk 'em... That sounded better than it looks written. But in all seriousness, I'm going to hold you to that, because I don't feel finished with the character (especially not after where you left him in ASM2).

Oh and if you could get those fighting grunts to me that'd be great too :woot:

How much do you need? Can I crank it out with a trip to the toilet after two bowls of Raisin Bran? Or do you need variety? :D

Oh stop being modest. I got ALOY of Spidey auditions and yours was far and away the best. I was even considering doing Spidey myself, athough my voice isn't really right for it, but i figured i could act my way through it. But you actually sound like Peter/Spidey. You also nailed the full range of emotions Peter is experiencing.

You're absolutely right, I just wanted to show off my new skillz... ;)

And like I said, it's great stuff. But say, had you given me that line initially, I'd have told you to make Peter sound more "golly gee" when delivering the line. Which.. you happen to have done in the first take anyway:woot:

Yeah.. and he's going to go through some real crap in those last two. :oldrazz:

:joker: Well...Look at it this way. Go through the fights Spidey has in the script and imagine some of the hits he takes. Such as being hit by a bolt of lightning from Electro. Being slashed at by the Goblin's razor bats or just taking a very hard punch. As far as offensive grunts imagine Spidey throwing hits by degrees. A light punch, a medium level hit to putting everything he has into it. Also imagine other actions such as making long jumps, lifting heavy objects and dodging a series of attacks.

I mean, I don't need a ton of these things just a few takes covering those scenarios.

I haven't gotten to the Shocker yet, but will since I'm focusing on trailer stuff and he's in the trailer.:woot:

:woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

YEAH!!!!!!!

Though I would like to think my voice has changed in the past 2 years. I can't wait to hear myself on film.

Oh man! Oh man! Oh man! I CANNOT wait to see the trailer for this thing. After the quick teases with brief scenes and a few rough looks at the webswinging... A Trailer is going to blow us all away!

If Dragon's working on the trailer, then I'm going to help do my part by recording those grunts, groans, and sugary tones... ;)

Dragon, do you have any other background, one line voices that you need that maybe I can give a shot at?

Any crowd reaction shots?

Some new screens:

Holy cow, it's Otto Octavius :wow: :wow:

Dragon, this turned out even more amazing than I imagined. Look at the detail on his tentacles. They look like real lethal weaponry. Incredible. And I see alot of Alfred Molina in his face, too  :otto:

All the pics are amazing. Really, I can't wait to see this movie.

Yes I do have several additional voice parts. But - I'm still having trouble getting voice work from people that have major parts. So, anyone who wants to do voice characters, please make sure you are willing to do them in a timely manner. For example, I've recorded Gwen's 90 plus lines including retakes with the actress in a single afternoon. So, it shouldn't take long to do less than that. I'll be, in the next day or two, posting the characters that need voice recordings....and we can go from there.
