If I didn't already have a better car, I definitely would give the 2013 Fusion a whirl! Maybe I'll look at the 2014 model..

I test drove a 2012 Fusion a few months back and I wasn't overly impressed. As for the 2013, I love the updates they've made, especially on the interior. It's going to big just as big if not, bigger of a hit than the new Sonata and Optima, which I see all over the place. The new Fusion also looks like it'll be a blast to mod too..

My only worry is that the Fusion will have the same super-soft brakes as in their previous models..

It's like the new Jag XJ had a baby with the Kia optima.

When I was growing up, my father had a lot of different cars from Porches to BMWs and others. He even bought one of the first Mazda RX-7's in the Northeast when they first came out....and sometimes he'd drive the whole family in it with my mother up front and me & my sister scrunched into the no-rear-seat back. He also totaled many of his cars...and it took me a while to realize just why he had so many accidents. Put it this way......it's three letters starting with a D and ending with an I.

Anyway, my favorite car that he had, and probably his too, was a '72 Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce in Silver...the Bertone-bodied coupe that was fondly called the 'baby Ferrari' by many. Someday I'd like to get one myself and restore it.

Of course, he totaled it (sigh).

On the way home yesterday I was behind a goddamn 2012 BMW Alpina B7. One of the rarest and expensive of the BMW models.

The thing that's so disparaging about the town I live in is the gap in wealth is so large. You've got millionaires living in the same town as a tons of those in poverty.

We have two Audi's: a 2000 sedan TDI 115 BHP and a 2008 avant TDI 136 BHP.

Good cars, my first new one will be an A3 or perhaps, when it'll be just too expensive, a VW Jetta. (I live in Europe where it isn't as "stripped" as in the US).

I like the American Passat more than the one we have here btw.

I like some BMW's: 5-6-7. Alpina is magnificent, but I've only seen a B3 "on the road", I think it was a convertible.

Would never by an M, but those Alpina's are better for daily use and yet faster. Amazing.

Audi's are nice cars...but they look just a step behind in terms of styling. Not ugly, but maybe a bit too conservative for their own good. The R8 cabrio does look considerably nicer in person than in pictures to me, though. Saw one in dark metallic grey this past summer up close and it was very nice.

I don't have a problem with the grille, but I'm pretty sure it's a bit bigger for US models lol.

People should stop moan about them "looking the same", because every single brand has a "recognisable" style. I mean, the new 3 series looks like the 5, and the C class looks a lot like a mini S.

I have also a thing for AM, but they should stop creating models that only differ in name and very slightly in power.

Big car fan here too. Grew up around a family car business which is still going strong, and which I'll hopefully be working in later this year after moving on from my current career. Father was car crazy (and still is), and younger brother as equally into performance cars as the rest of us.

Between the three of us there's been a lot of different cars bought, sold and kept over the years - various Honda Vtecs, Integra Type Rs, BMW 850 CSi, Jaguar E-Type, Nissan Skyline R33 GTR, Toyota Supra TT, Porsche 928, BMW M5, Ford Sierra Cosworth, various BMW M3s, Honda S2000, Mitsubishi Evo 6 Tommi Makinen, Audi S3, Ford RS Focus, Nissan 200sx, many more. Also a few different rally cars. Its one of the great perks of being a car fan and working in a car business, you get to own (and/or drive) a lot of different cars.

I had an E46 M3 until recently which was probably my favourite out of all the cars I've had, very well balanced and just a great all rounder as a daily driver. Sold it a few months back and regretted it straight away, but getting married later this year so trying to be sensible with my cash (for now!). Brother currently in a tuned Golf GTi DSG and dad bought a GTR Nissan R35 recently, which is one of the most impressive cars I've ever driven. Looking forward to talking cars with some of you peeps on here

I've been a Ford owner all of my life, but anymore I've been really disappointed with Ford's quality and customer service. I've been looking into the Dodge Ram's and I like what I have been reading. I don't expect a truck to get the greatest gas mileage, but they get good reviews and are a couple thousand cheaper than Ford F-150. I just want a decent down payment to have my monthly payments under $400. That could take a while.

Too much grille for WHO?

It's an Audi trademark---most of their identity is symbolized in their grille...As far as styling goes, I appreciate that they stick to their guns while they have progressively gotten more stylish and slick, appealing to the more conservative crowd?

The shape/texture of the grille and the whole front is, but proportionally it's too large and doesn't really jive with the more svelte lines of the rest of the car. It should extend a little over half as far down as it does now and have the front bodywork/ground effects wrap under more nicely. The way it is now is a bit of an eyesore.

As popular as BMWs and Audis are, I'm pretty sure that people don't buy them primarily for their exterior designs.

Nah, I do still think you see things very different than me.

Again, take another look at the Ford Fusion and tell me it looks anything like the new Optima..

Anyway, I think the new MKZ concept looks interesting:

I've always liked the styling of Lincolns, despite their emphasis more on luxury and comfort and not so much on performance, it has made strides in bringing in younger drivers nonetheless...

No but seriously, it's too much grille in that it extends to far down and makes the front look too heavy. BMW as well made the new 3-series a bit ugly with their redesign. They tried to make it 'sleeker', but gave it a kind of 'beak' profile that's as becoming as what came before.
