WandaVision WandaVision General Discussion Thread

How does people know what happened in Endgame and Infinity War?
Like, they mentioned before how Wanda almost destroyed Thanos by herself, and last night they mentioned Vision's double death. I mean, we know what happened because we saw it as audience members, but how does Darcy know exactly that Wanda had to kill Vision and Thanos rewinded and killed him again?

It probably became public knowledge. At the beginning of Endgame, Steve bring up Thanos by name in the support group as if everyone there knows who he is.

Darcy hung out with Thor in New Asgard during those five years. He filled her in. :hehe:

This show is just not working for me. I hate to say it, but it's corny and a bit cheap feeling. The one redeeming quality so far has been Evan Peters - whom ironically enough I never cared about in the FoxVerse.

Hoping FATWS is a much better entry with Marvel streaming because this is not what I'd hoped for. Maybe the final eps will change my mind.

Just found out a friend of mine, who doesn't watch MCU movies, is watching WandaVision. I asked if she was understanding it. She said she watches recap videos on YT and that helps. And sometimes she doesn't get her mindblown with some twists, like Pietro. But she's still enjoying the hell out of the show.

I thought that was surprising and cool.

And even if she didn't as such, she's also almost certainly on the list of "people vouched for by other Avengers" who'd be able to do things like "Visit or call team members and get informal updates or formal briefings". Doubly so for someone like Darcy, who was probably on the "Is actively helping deal with crap during the post-Snap period" list. The show doesn't have to say she's an Avengers-auxiliary for her to be such, and presumably SWORD didn't call her in on a consult for no reason.

When those TV series were announced, didn’t they say, that it gives the opportunity to tell 6h stories of the supporting Avengers?

We‘re now about 3,5h into Wandavision. I hope the last episodes are longer than 30min

I hope so too. At the start of the last one I was already disappointed we were 30 minutes shorter than I was expecting. I thought maybe there was an extended cut I was missing.

People are wondering "where are the other Avengers?" and while the likelihood is that SWORD is keeping most of them out, what if most of them are doing something else? The reason I say this is because I expect at least cameo appearances from 1 or 2 more Avengers besides Rhodey in Falcon and the Winter Soldier and what if the events of both shows are happening at the same time?

I am somewhat disappointed with the show. I really WANT to like it a lot and I feel like there's some underlying, interesting stuff going on, but it seems like they just can't get past the mostly uninteresting surface story. It has, IMO, dragged on way too long. The most interesting thing about it is Monica. It shouldn't take 7 episodes to get really interesting and I don't even know if I'll be back here next week and change the 7 to an 8.

As for the other Disney+ shows, I don't know if I am going to like US Agent as much as I do Monica. It seems to me that US Agent should not be in any of the future Avengers movies but Monica should be.

I feel like that would be the plan. US Agent is probably a one-time villain for TFATWS.
Episode 7 of Wandavision was probably my least favorite. The Agatha reveal was a bit disappointing, maybe because I expected it, but I also felt like it didn't show how much she was pulling the strings. The post-credits scene was my favorite, yet I'm a little worried that Evan Peters is just going to end up being Nicholas Scratch, Agatha's son, who shapeshifts into her rabbit. Honestly that would be the most disappointing reveal to me, but now I'm getting scared that that's what they're doing.

I find it a little obnoxious to wait an entire week for (between recaps and credits) 25 minutes of an episode. I mean, I get it, but at least with the regular TV model, you waited one week and you knew you got a 43-minute episode.

Uh, not for half-hour shows. Those were 22-24 minutes minus commercials. Still had to wait a week for them.

I feel like if the explanation or the reasoning behind the villain's plot/motivation isn't clear or there are fundamental holes in the logic--I could easily be swayed by your view.

The fact that we're still left with questions about the story and why things are the way they are right now--still has me intrigued... but I will admit that if they keep beating the drums of the sitcom eras in the final episodes, it will annoy me.

Essentially "what is the endgame for Agatha or whoever is actually pulling these strings?" and is it worth all the trouble...

Same logic I applied in all cbm.

And in the case of HIMYM we had to wait 9 seasons only for Ted Mosby just to go back to Robin at the very end after they killed off the mother.
