WandaVision WandaVision General Discussion Thread

Kevin Feige says that the last three episodes will be an hour long each. I think what he means is that while we have seen two-thirds of the episodes we have only seen half of the show. A lot more will happen in the next three episodes than happened in the first six.
Yup. I remember reading that the WandaVision is 6 hour long series. The last 6 episodes totaled 3 hours... so it stands to reason the next 3 will be one hour long.

One full hour or one hour with commercials?

There are no commercials (apart from the ones on the show itself). I'm guessing they will be 50 minutes of show + 10 of credits.

Billy and Tommy had some fun behind the scenes, it seems :)

I thought the both of them did a heck of a job, especially young Mr. Hilliard with Ms. Olsen at the end of the episode. They will probably be aged up again for Young Avengers, but it would be great if the two of them stuck around.

They're more like faux-commercials... because it's still adding to the overall story/mystery.

They aren't really selling you anything.

No I meant are there actual commercial breaks in the hour long program so that it's only really 45 minutes or less? Or is the whole thing a full 60 minutes?

When you say commercial breaks... are you talking about those eerie ones that have some kind-of hidden messages? Like I mentioned?

Or actual commercials that sell you something? Because if it's the regular commercials like for Febreeze/Frosted Flakes/Spotify... then no.

There's never been an actual commercial when viewing any Disney+ content. It's no Hulu.

Well I did say actual commercials and not the commercials within the show you were referring to in your previous post. I didn't know if they would feature real commercials or not because all the episodes so far have been only about 30 minutes or less whereas the last 3 are a whole hour and could potentially include a break.

There are not commercials anymore, this isn't actual television like we normally see it. It's a streaming service. The episodes don't have to hit any particular length. They can be as short or as long as they want.

If Jimmy Woo gets a show I hope it's about his actual team from the comics, Agents of Atlas.

Jimmy has the potential to be the next Coulson.

Giving characters struggling with stuff a show is one way to show just that.... Perfect/flawless characters aren’t that fun to watch as a viewer. We have three episodes left to try and show us how this all started and what’s real and what’s not.

Where did I ever say or intimate I wanted Wanda or Vis as protags to be perfect?

I just want to be entertained and engaged on some level.

3 hours of this so far and... it ain't delivering.

Not really talking directly about you but more so the text that you shared where it says "the 'we needed therapy but instead they gave us a show' crew".

Why were Fred Melamed and Debra Jo Rupp in the main cast but Josh Stamberg is just a guest with much more screen time and more important role?

I think I will be able to watch this week's episode but if I can't I will watch it over the weekend as the weather will get a lot better.

I think the show is slowing down again. I REALLY liked Episode 5, but the payoff in Episode 6 was non-existent. I was rather disappointed in it. I just felt that Wanda's character progression last week stalled and she was overshadowed by new characters. I want WandaVision to reveal who the heck Agnes is and SOON. I think people will lose patience if they keep getting strung along.

I don’t think it is getting strung along at all. I love the pacing. I hope the next 3 episodes meet the quality of the previous 6. As it stands, I think topping this show will be a tall order. As excited as I am for all of them, but to date, this is one of my favorite thing MCU up to this point.

I think of this as a more family friendly and toned down version of Twin Peaks. It has that familiar Marvel flavor, but with a dash of David Lynch

I’m fine with the pacing, though I will say the first few episodes, where most of the show is set inside the hex, were a bit more engaging to me. As we have begun to split time between inside and outside, it’s become less satisfying to me, probably because they’re still sticking with the not-quite-30-minute format of the sitcom and it feels like it’s not really enough to do both. That the final episodes will each run around an hour is welcome news.

Honestly it’s the only thing I really look forward to all week.
