WandaVision WandaVision SPOILERS Thread

I crave more. They sure do know how to tease.

Speaking of Skrulls. It's stated Maria Rambeau was a founder of SWORD. Maybe it isn't too crazy to think Talos was a founder as well? They just couldn't make it public because, well...alien.
He's been apparently working with Fury since the 90s, I see it difficult he'd become a villain eventually.

*SWORD

Could he be the person under witness protection?
could it be Hulkling? WandaVision Casts New Neighbor Character Who Might Be MCU's Hulking
We know, that Talos and Soren work for S.W.O.R.D. They could protect him from other Skrulls.

The problem I‘m having is, why is someone (connected to Agnes?) using Wanda, to create a barrier and fake reality to prevent re-connecting with the witness.
I like the idea of Peters being the Witness Protection guy. To me it looks like he's in a Quicksilver costume so I'm hoping that's just an Easter Egg for the audience and now that he's actually replacing ATJ in any way.

Speaking of which, I really hope ATJ is in this in some capacity. I will be so sad if it isn't.

Great show so far, easily fill the gap of a week between shows catching up on all the theories & predictions, haha

Haha, I love it. My head is spinning, so many theories, so many things to look out for.
1 - What's happening ?
2 - What's really happening?
3 - No, really, what's really, really happening?

First off, we have no idea what has started this whole thing. There was talk of a deleted scene of Wanda going & retrieving Vision's dead body & escaping with it. The idea that she escaped with Vision's limp body to Westview & started making this false reality just offhand seems a stretch. More likely she spoke with someone who then advised her, guided her to bringing Vision back to life. Leading to the idea of an outside influence controlling her, not mind control, more brain washing so she isn't entirely innocent, can't have a story too clean cut.
There's a lot of speculation of a deal with the devil , but it all seems a little to pointed at. Marvel like to surprise, so if you expect it don't expect it. Unless if expecting it makes you not expect it then that might be what's to be expected. No-one said dealing with the devil was easy. Maybe easier than second guessing what's going on......
There's ideas that the bad guy might be Dormammu ("made in the shade") or Nightmare, the originally scripted villian of Dr. Strange's second outing.
It's making for good reading, working through theories etc. Like the re-occuring themes of adverts, animals & the town folks.
Theories vary on the adverts from her history to Infinity Stones & that the two actors are representations of her parents.
In the first three episodes animals featured; lobsters - Love (bit of a stretch, lobsters were supposedly claimed to mate for life on Friends but it does tie in with the sitcom idea, although out of time.) Rabbit - a symbol of procreation. Stork - a symbol of delivery.
The fourth episode put a halt to both advert & animal watchers , haha.
The new theories are around the revealed identities of the town folk, or the lack of info on the board, but I'm thinking Philip Jones is worth looking at, the only person who's real name & cast name have ties to Marvel.
There is also a massive collection of other sorcerers building up in the town , possibly as a a response to what Wanda has created , we may get a huge 'magic-off' that could have more cgi than endgame, hahaha.

Just a few random thoughts for consideration.

  • Hexagons. What if that's an indication that there's a Hex on the town? Thus far we haven't seen that Wanda has the ability to create a Hex. Aside from the couple of rewinds in this show, she's pretty much just moved or contained things with her mind.
  • Ads are designed to show us what we want to get us to Buy or Buy into things. Ad #1 was Vision. Even the red dot on the toaster was colorized to look like the stone. Ad #2 was Time. Ad #3 was about Bliss. That's what Wanda wants. She said as much in IFW.
  • Sitcoms represent her ideals of how to achieve the "perfect" life.
  • There's clearly been a lot of talk of kids leading up to Episode 4.
  • Agnes is the only one specifically not revealed and she's had the most lines other than Wanda and Vision
  • Just because Wanda doesn't want to leave, doesn't mean she's out to hurt people.
  • Day Dream Believer/Sleepy Jean is probably a huge clue.

Next question. If it's 3 weeks from Blip to Westview, who or how did someone reach Wanda to get this created? Wanda has no ties to NJ. What enticed her there? Almost has to Agnes some how.

Re-watched Far From Home last night, still so fun... anyways, JB keeps blaming witches for the elemental situations.

At the time that seemed like a funny joke, but now with this show - it doesn’t seem like a joke.

This definitely ain‘t Quicksilver. Why would they bring a death character back with speed abilities, if Thommy will have the same powers.
This is Mephisto in disguise

I'm going to need help with the TV eras....
50's - Dick Van Dyke
60's - Bewitched
70's - The Brady Bunch
80's - Full House/Roseanne?
00's - Modern Family

The 90's one is the only one that is confusing me....Malcolm in the Middle has been mentioned as the inspiration but were there any other ones?

You’re most likely right and if it’s indeed the case I think that would be weak sauce.

80s is more Family Ties and Growing Pains even if they didn’t use the same aspect ratio. The opening credits is a straight homage down to the paint brush and guy/girl duet

90s will be interesting as that decade moved away from more traditional family sitcoms and into friends hanging out like Seinfeld and Friends.

I liked that Darcy defined her powers as "Hex" abilities in this episode. No one has called Wanda's powers as Hex before.

Also, when Director Hayward asked if she had a nickname or alias, Woo said she doesn't.

No one has ever referred to Wanda as the Scarlett Witch before.

I think I've seen some harshness against Hayward in and out of show. I don't fully agree. I may not agree with his way of doing things, and even, myself, not been so heavy on her for the Ultron situation, but facts are facts:

Wanda helped a supervillain try to kill superheroes. She backed out, but the Avengers trust in her don't annul her actions. If I give Tony flack, and I do, I have to give it to Wanda.

Hayward has no real reason to put much trust in Wanda, with all the information they have on her. She's not shown herself to be fully stable in the past and I think throwing Hayward under the bus for daring to question Wanda, the Avengers judgement, or the Wanda fanclub of Monica, Jimmy and Darcy, I see as shortsighted and naive.

The 90s had a lot
1. Full House
2. Home Improvement
3. Boy meets world
4. Roseanne
5. Save by the bell
6. Family Matters
7. Step by Step
8. Blossom
9. Married with Children
10. Fresh Prince of Bell Air

Same here. Hayward is too obviously the bad guy now, so that it comes to surprise that he actually isn’t.

The camera seems to change from a live audience multicam to a single cam show with the 90’s look which is what makes me think Malcolm.
