I was thinking the other day...Marvel is at Hasbro....for the next few years, but Disney just bought Marvel.....and Disney stuff is usually made into figures over at Mattel.

Now obviously the Hasbro/Marvel deal won't be broken, they'll honor it for the next couple years.....but after that.

Anyone think that Marvel will not renew with Hasbro?

If they (eventually) go to Mattel I just hope that Marvel figs don't get the DCUC Exploding butts!!
(Well it's about time that Mattel learns about double jointed elbows and knees on their figs... They also need to learn how to make toys in joe scale...)

Doesn't Hasbro have the license until 2017?I remember reading that somewhere.I'm pretty sure Disney will let the contract run it's course. If anything I'm sure Disney is more preoccupied with TV,Movie and Theme park rights.

Actually Disney toy licenses aren't with just one company. Cars and the girl stuff is with Mattel. But beyond Cars their boys toys are made by Bandai NA. Imagine Bandai ML....

Still in the short term (next 5 years) nothing will change. All the deals made by Marvel with other studios will stand. FOX's Marvel properties are theirs as long as they pump out a movie every 5 years. Which is why we got Wolverine Origins and will get Magneto Origins. And reboots of DD and the FF are in development. And Sony will want way too much for Spider-man. On the comics side I doubt Disney will interfere. Warner has owned DC since 1969, how often have they interfered?

Disney did just make a deal with Lego for Toy Story, Cars and Prince of Persia........maybe we can get Marvel Lego....

Doesn't Hasbro make Pixar toys or did that expire?

I'm fine with Hasbro having the Marvel license & I'd hope that Disney either lets them keep it or give it back to Toybiz (if they're still open). I don't see Mattel having the license work, since Mattel has DC.

When Marvel went to Hasbro Toybiz ceased to exist.

Not exactly. It became Marvel toys which made TNA figures and LCBH.After a while though it did cease though.

Which is too bad. The quality on the LCBH figs looked great. Better than HML.

Yea When I first saw the hasbro ones the paint was one thing that really stood out as bad.I had a banshee from a huge lot and sold it even though i always wanted a banshee. It was just a bad figure.

No way man.

The LCBH were on par with TBML, but not the Hasbro Stuff

Other than possibly producing some Disney Merch, it won't mean much.

This means the floodgates for Wolvie Mickey Mighty Muggs have been opened.

Do concerntrate on this post, I'm willing to lift highly my flag following your thoughts.

Not happening. Licensing doesn't work that way. Hasbro STILL only has the license for all of Marvel's characters. In order to that they'd have to get the license for Disney characters in their markets. Although this MIGHT open the door for Marvel and Disney making toys together.

Hasbro's Japanses partner company Takara/Tomy does have the Disney license for Japan. That's why we have Mickey Mouse as Optimus Prime transformer and Donald Duck transformer.
