just scroll down that list by doing 'control + F' on actor and tell me if I'm wrong in thinking there's a very high proportion of dictionary definition hollywood bimbos and himbos who don't get a particularly bad reception in the acting department.

Pretty idiotic post here, there are plenty of fine actors on that list, why don't you go ahead and post all of the 'particularly bad' actors you see on that list so we can skip the guessing game.

Also, they're listing all actors, and contrary to what you might think, 'oscar contenders' make up a small percentage of actors, so it's a sure bet that every year will have it's fair share of bad actors, but I am guess you saw Ben Affleck early on and said, 'wow, what a horrible year!!'

Your...insane. Were you looking up stuff on Howard's girlfriend and decided to do this?

Hilariously random :woot:

toni collette, thandie newton and gwenyth paltrow are considered mediocre actors?

Toni Collette no, Newton and Paltrow yes, by me. and I don't think I ever indicated every actor born that year was not good, I indicated a particularly large proportion were.

I think there are some pretty good oens on there.

Now the '70s are mediocre actors? Oh yes the decade of Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Paul Newman, Robert Retford, Dustin Hoffman, John Voigt, Faye Dunnaway, Merreyl Streepe, Diane Keaton, Woody Allen, Robert Shaw, Gene Hackman, Robert Duvall, Harrison Ford and such films as The Sting, Network, All The Presidents Men, the first two Godfathers, Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, The French Connection, Sophie's Choice, Close Encounter with the Third Kind, Alien, Jaws, Annie Hall, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, The Conversation, Dog Day Afternoon, Deer Hunter, etc, etc. etc.

Let's face it the '70s were overall a better decade for film than the last 3 combine and this thread is ridiculous too.

Any year where Paul Walker lives is considered the year of the mediocre actor.

This thread is stupid.
That year is not mediocre. It has plenty of fine people there. :whatever: :whatever:

Close thread.

But Paul Walker has a great performance in Runn....ugh, you know what, forget it.

" Fanboy bandwagon hating > Logic " is the rule in these boards, anyway

I know i know, it was a suprinsgly decent film, and his performance wern't arf bad

Except when logic = awareness of how badly Walker sucks on an acting level. I think he's actually gotten worse as an actor. His expression is as blank as his presence is non-existant. I didn't believe him for a second in Running Scared, and I felt myself cringe everytime he appeared onscreen. There was not ONE convincing aspect of his performance (for lack of a better word) and everytime he tried to emote, i.e. scream, cry, yell, or look stupid, I felt an overwhelming urge to stab my head. Jessica Alba is Marlon Brando next to this twit.

The movie was awesome but Paul Walker won the over the top actor of the year award. Thumbs down to him.

He is a mediocre actor but was pretty decent in 8 below though.

This thread sucks. The 70s were great in cinema, great actors, great directors, great movies.

Cinema on our days is mediocre the majority, but the 70s? you are joking.
