Watchmen Sequel: "It's Been Talked About"

NO NO NO!!!

When will freaking Hollywood get it, respect the source material, Watchmen doesn't need a damned sequel.

The cinematic elements of the graphic novel can be handled in two and a half hours, give or take. The "extras", maybe not. But then, it's a movie, not a graphic novel.

How about.......................Kid Raw Shark?

Yes! I can see it happening! A real giant evil alien squid named "Mooren" comes and attacks earth on the grounds of copyright infringement, wanting reparations for the scarring of his name when Ozy created a faux squid. He goes back in time to just when the original squid was finished but not yet released, and sues Ozy. The heroes: Dan and Laurie, must overcome their old age, as well as their hatred of Adrian, to recruit him to help them go back in time to fight the lawsuit!

haha thatd be one f'd up movie

Alan Moore does not understand the term "adaptation" then.

As for this news, eh, not gonna happen. Maybe they could do a PREQUEL...Covering events during the "heroes" past (I doubt Snyder would want to direct that, but you never know) But a sequel? No, I don't see it, and I certainly don't want it or need it, nor a prequel, for that matter.

I suppose WB will ponder all these things once the money starts coming in.

I'd be fine with a sequel. It's not every day that you get to see fans red with rage or a multi-million dollar bad movie bomb at the box office.

Seriously, guys, the heck're you thinking? A sequel to Watchmen? Your 300 prequel will only do well because 300 was mindless. You're screwed as soon as you comission a sequel to Moore's story.

This is like as laughable as a sequel to Hamlet....thus why Halmet 2 was funny...

I wouldnt mind a one hour special on TV, like an expose on the minutemen right before watchmen came out. Or maybe they do something like that on the websight, something like Gotham Nights would be nice. Whenever i read the novel i really am intruiged to see how the minute man lasted as long as they did, and it would be fun to see them actualy all in action even if its in little expose spots. Watching Nelly, and Hooded Justice, the young Comedian all doing there thing, would be neat i think.

Hey, that's an idea. We could have a Watchmen 2, only instead of it being an actual sequel to Watchmen, it's about a bunch of losers trying to make a sequel to Watchmen.

"and then we have the musical number, Rock Me, Sexy Rorschach!"

Not everthing NEEDS a sequel!

The fact that Watchmen is a stand alone story is one of the many things that special abou it.

I think it's pretty obvious from what Patrick Wilson says in that interview that there won't be a sequel.
