YouTube Orders ‘Wayne’ Action Comedy Series Produced By ‘Deadpool’ Writers

YouTube has picked up to series its action comedy pilot Wayne starring Mark McKenna (Sing Street) and Ciara Bravo (Big Time Rush), from creator Shawn Simmons, which is executive produced by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, writers of the hit Deadpool movie franchise. Written and created by Simmons, Wayne is described as a gritty and sometimes bloody tale in which 15-year-old Wayne (McKenna) sets out on a dirt bike with his new crush Del (Bravo) to take back the 1978 Pontiac Trans Am that was stolen from his father before he died. It is Wayne and Del against the world. Joshua J. Williams (Mudbound) will recur as Orlando.

I've been loving it so far.

I'm going to watch the pilot at any moment nao. The trailer was great and this comes from the Deadpool/Zombieland team so it's guaranteed to be awesome.

Just finished the pilot episode a few moments ago and I loved it.

I like how Wayne's peers are afraid of him because he basically gives zero f**ks and is a reckless loose cannon and not because he's some strong guy.
