Hey if Mr. Horn wants to lose money, that is his business. More importantly, he has something at stake here: he was the one who hired Singer in the first place.
It makes you wonder if Legendary will see eye-to-eye on if Singer is rehired. Legendary took a lot of hits this summer and they are new company. They are responsible for half the budget. Do you think they will run the same risk of another Singer Superman film? Would that be a sound investment? Could you imagine what will happen to the budget and film if they pulled out?
I only saw SR because of my (and others) effort in the past to get McG off. That and so I can give Singer the benefit of the doubt.
I am not going to buy the DVD, and I have convinced a few (about 8-10) friends who haven't seen the film not to see it. I told them to do the same with their other friends. The only one who didn't listen to me did not like it (substantiating my claims). I am pretty certain they will not buy the DVD, they will probably rent it out of curiosity.
I encourage disgruntled fans to not buy the DVD, speak with your wallet if you are not pleased. It might be small but it is better than nothing.
I am not watching the sequel if Singer is attached, maybe a rental at most. I have the Dark Knight franchise to tie me over and that should somewhat please WB, right?
