oh, that was a good laughWe are the Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.
oh, that was a good laugh
Laughter is irrelevant. You will be assimilated.
After 10,000 years of human civilization acting like the scum of the universe there's people still convinced world peace is possible...
Scum of the universe is a pretty big title. So far were just scum of the planet. People change.
And if we all give up hope, than all hope will be lost. Our belief in peace is what makes it possible. This is an issue where just believing really matters. It's only impossible if we all believe it's impossible, but so long as there are people with hope, it remains possible.
I'm devoting my life to trying to increase the chances of it happening. You should do it too. The more the merrier. Just look at yourself, look at your life, and say some things are bigger than me, and I'm going to devote my life to trying to increase the chances of it happening, even if it takes a life's work and it only increases the chances by 1/1000 of a percent, it will be a life well spent. And on your death bed, you can look at your life with pride, knowing that your life wasn't wasted, and you were part of the solution and not part of the problem. You werne't just a regular citizen too concerned with his own trivial life to make a difference.
People change, the human race doesn't. In 10,000 years (as long as civilization's been around) the human race has murdered billions, killed tens of thousands of species and is slowly changing the planet's climate for the worse.
Also, unless you've made it your goal to become a career political I doubt you're going to change much of anything. The people who manage to affect the world the most are usually the people who never intended to.
I have made that my goal. but there are other things you can do. Just search your mind, and think of something you can do, and then do it. Write a book. Become an activist. Think of solutions, and spread the word, even if it's door to door. Contact the media. Run for office. Donate money.
Expand your mind, day dream, brain storm, and you will find your path.
There's millions of people just like that already, haven't noticed any change.
You didn't notice that gays are getting married, slavery ended, women have equal rights, and me and you are allowed to express our beliefs?
That is results.
I'm one hundred percent neutral about gay marriage, I could give a damn...
Women's rights were brought on from pissed off feminists not idealistic scientists.
Slavery was going to end eventually no matter what, luckily people like Abraham Lincoln ended before the slaves ending up revolting.
some men believed in women rights. There was a time when only men could vote. You think that if absolutely no men supported their right to vote, even when laughed by their fellow men, it ever would have changed?
There's a big difference between women's rights and world peace.
The difference beween a cup and a gallon.
More like a thimble and an ocean.
World peace is unachievable.
