I got bored halfway in the movie. It starts as a promising cops of family with a black sheep in it, but then it becomes a sort of classic gang war of criminals and policemen. Eva Mendez is smokin' hot in the movie.

call me crazy, but the best movie of the year by far looks to be before the devil even knows youre dead or whatever, not to mention the best movie involving families and breaking the law. it looks up to snuff, whereas we own the night looks somewhat mediocre. but ill check it out, im a sucker for big name crime dramas.

Phoenix is one of the best young actors around, up there with Norton, and others, just cant think of any right now.

I thought it was great. And yeah, this is pretty much Phoenix's movie. Not that the rest of the cast isn't good, but it's his performance that really brings it all together.

Yeah will definantly give this a look when it comes out here. Phoenix is a legend, It doesn't surprise me what someone said above that he carries it.

I saw it last night during an employee preview. Really great movie that had a lot of tension in it too.

Who knew Eva Mendes could act? Plus she has the greatest opening scene ever. :heart:

The end where Bobby is walking through the tall grass looking for the last guy was tense as hell. I was halfway expecting him to accidently shoot his brother or have him and the guy kill each other.

Phoenix's performance was great, I really enjoyed this movie. I definitely recommend it! Looking for a cool triller/crime movie this is it.
