Hey waldaltmon, will you be doing a tutorial on programming the double tap trigger?Because I'm trying to learn about programming microcontroller for future projects. Including my next web shooter.

As of now, no, because I have created an algorithm for the double tap, and if I just gave it out to everyone, no one would learn how to make it themselves. No one would learn programming either if I just told them the code to put in; everyone needs to find out how to make the double-tap on their own.
HOWEVER, I can (if enough people want it) just do a general programming tutorial, but I won't tell you the exact code for the double-tap. I can teach everyone some basic programming that will get you there, but you need to follow up on it and actually learn how to make the double-tap code. I can tell you how to do basic I/O, basic inner functions, etc. But only if enough people want that tutorial, as I am already doing another tutorial on just general electronics for the SPIDER. Anyone want me to to do it?

I would think that would be a little bit high-powered, but the heating time is awesome! Nice video.

pllagunos that is an idea worth looking into. It's called induction heating and works by inducing eddy currents into the metal at a certain frequency that the metal absorbs nicely. I don't know the specifics on it and i don't know how much power is required. But I do know it requires AC or DC pulsed power. For that you will need a circuit setup (like astable 555timer setup). That may take up some space on your shooter unless you can design it very nicely to fit on your arm with the shooter.

Hey Wadaltmon, what is double tap exactly and what are its advantages? Also do you have any specs on your formula (have I asked you that already?) ?

Yeah, great find with the video pllagunos! Okay, so here's another thing on graphene. It has the ability to be harder than diamond, stronger than steel and even real spider silk on a micro level. It is also the best conductor of heat, meaning as it is in the formula and the formula is heated by the spinneret, it will evaporate the solvent quicker. AND, it is just as good, if not, a better conductor of electricity, than COPPER. The electricity moves so quickly through the graphene, that today, scientist are figuring out how to make faster and more efficient computers and batteries:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PifL8bAybyc. This explains why Spidey freaks out when he covers Shocker's hand in fluid, he freaks out because the webbing is conductive of electricity. Look under Webbing Properties and Description:http://realwebtech.webs.com/theory. Also, I have something on those who are using any kind of electronics like motors, solenoid valves, buttons, heated coils, etc. It is actually way more simple and cheap to MAKE a circuit. This first one is using this little thing we all know as PLAY-DOH. The store bought play-doh contains salt, and the salt in the play-doh allows it to conduct electricity. And another recipe contains sugar, which restricts the flow of electricity. Together, they make a perfect circuit:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5M3Dow20KlM. The second circuit involves nothing but a pencil and paper. Remember what I said about graphene being conductive of electricity? Well the graphite in the pencil acts as a resistor:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwKQ9Idq9FM. Just some stuff that I wanted to come right out and talk about something I've been wanting to, well talk about!

And to clyde, the advantage is that the double tap will prevent any misfires when making a fist or grabbing something.

@clyde spideyfan1995 do the same that there and it function if in a powered glue gun function why not here also it will be only a switch ,resistence wire and a tube that is the circuit that is not much.
Anyway spideyfan1995 will put a tutorial of his webshotter and for now he has the best heating system or the only one.

Yeah, basically. Though I don't know how that method would work in this case. And thanks.

As MarvelFan said, it is to prevent misfiring your shooter if you make a fist or pick something up. The disadvantages are the simple fact that it takes longer to actuate than just a simple press.
Here is my formula, that WW put up a while ago: http://technolgytheorist.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4f0j9c
But I am working on perfecting it now, because I can't quite get the ingredient proportions right. I am using a new formula with the same base as that.

hey lok at this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jPmd2MOvyE in this video you will have ideas about the heating system for me one good idea is in the minute 2:00 but they are so many of them I hope it funticon :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

It's a good find!
But that kind of heating uses a huge power source, and it's too big to have in the shooter!
But it's what we want to do except that we want it much smaller!

If anyone wants a tutorial on my heating coil, just tell me, if enough people want one, then I will make one!:-)

Yeah, after I get all the construction basic tutorials up, then I will do a formula tutorial. Good idea!

Thanks bro, I think that if one person can get his formula working then other people can focus and spend there money on the SPIDER instead if trial and error on the formula!
If you spend money in the formulas trail and errors and I do the same in the SPIDERS trial and errors the we can give out the blueprints and formulas to each other and get done a lot faster!:-)

hey in the second video he use a 9 volt battery

If you mean the wire that heats up you are wrong, he uses a 8.4
Volt airsoft battery with over 3000 mah, that is like two 9 volt batteries in a series! Because the mah is so high, it allows it to heat up very fast!
But really good video!

Guys, as far as heating goes, why not just a coil inside wherever you need it, and have a separate battery heat it?

Thanks for explaining the doubletap guys.

@Wallcrawler3344, That's what spideyfan1995 has done in his design.

Well guys, I just found out I cant use the mill at my old school, so I'll have to hand in the blueprints to my summer job place, and they can make the parts for a bottle of whiskey!:-)
