Why not try it out? Here's what I know: I put pure acetone into the tank, and a few minutes later, the bottom of the tank was wearing thin and the acetone was yellow, signalling that the tank had in fact been dissolved by the acetone. Then, I diluted the acetone with water, and this no longer took place.

Haha. I ve been here for awhile, but i only made the account last month. I also think it s cus they have been doing the research and stuff so i din t really have to do my research, but i just needed to read the page.
I would also say that it s because i ve worked with pressure and electronical components before, whereas they might have started out new

um buddy, about a week ago, you didn't know how to connect up a solenoid, and you didn't know electric spinning from heating coils. I've been on this project for 5 years. I've seen a lot of people come and go from this forum, many claiming to have shooters to show off. nowadays they spend their time on youtube, stealing our ideas, calling them their own, and then doing it wrong. We can all help you, but you need to humble yourself here and be truthful, because we have all seen people do this and we're tired of it. just tell the truth and we'll help you out. k? k.

Yeah i had trouble with the hesting element. I connected a really long copper wire and wrapped it around a metal tube. Then i was wondering why mine produced so little heat.

instead of copper wires use nichrome wire or a string from a guitar

Also, i din t know how to connect the MOTOR. Even at this point i don t know how to create an air tight motor when you use gears. It s hard to explain but it seems simple by theory. Just imagine yourself builing it. I think it s impossible to do it without reliveing the pressure. Those are the only ttwo problems i had i think

you dont need a motor you could do a second mono spinneret were its going to be a nozzle then the filaments will join toghter

It wasnt the type of wire. It was that i wrapped it around a metal cylinder, so current was flowing through the cylinder and not the wire.
Also, it was because my wire was too long. Shorter wires produce more heat.

I know how to build a simple web shooter using the pump from a handwash bottle. I've also developed a formula for the web fluid. It isn't very good but it reacts with air and hardens; if only to a certain extent.

Exodere. There's precedent for people showing up out of nowhere & making wild claims they can never back up for one lame reason or another. If we see a video that's worth a damn and backs up the claims, I'll be the first to admit I'm being d!ckish. Until then I'll consider myself a historical realist.
