World Web shooter shop class - Part 3

how do you guys know ask him it looks real idk why he couldnt of made that.

GoofyDaGoofGoof Is a fake, in all of his videos he never hasa high enough quality to see the web firing, and that's not just an unfortunate coincidince. He prepares it like that. In his older vieos, he has a better camera, so why the sudden change? Not to mention that he never actually explains how it's built, or why it works. There are many professional chemists trying to replicate web formula, without any success. His formula is acid,an unnamed "magnetic fluid", some alchohol and acetone. We on this forum have tried counless web formulas, and have never gotten anything that simple to create, that works so flawlessly. I have a foruma that I use for my in-progress shooter, the "ARACHNID MKIII," and it has taken me over a year to come up with, and it won't work anyting like that formula, that miraculously turns into a cler fishing line, so that is why he's a fake. I'm a professional magician, and I can tell you honstly that if I wanted to, I could convince the entire world that I built a mall watch sized shooter that I could swing from, but I don't because it's ridiculous, and pointless. Why try and fool people when you can try to make the real thing? So, no, HII is right, it's a fake.

So I left for a while to try and perfect the ARACHNID MKIII, which has progressed very well, nearly finished with it, will post when it's fully operational. But seriously, how did I miss all of the twelve year old's coming to the forum? Seriously who are all of these people?

You have a good argument why it is fake but its still not enough to say it is relly fake he could have built that.

Yes, and Paula Deen COULD be a four headed alien who travels back in time and fights Nazis. Doesn't mean it's true.

Except that GoofyDaGoofGoofTV's design is completely impossible...especially with the ingredients he uses for his "formula".

Sorry i didnt watch it with the volume he is ********.

hi S1ru5 I entered the forums at the same time you did but even though i never heard of you anyways welcome back to the forums, some of the new people are bobcat,Hii, and one guys that names !axe! or something like that.
It is good to have more people here if you know about chemistry you are really going to help for the formula, however there are people out there who have made a formula for example symbiotehost.

Hey, happy to be back! I really lurked a bit back then, probably why you don't remember me.now I'm in the process of building The Arachnid. My formula as of now doesn't HARDEN per se, although it does turn into a semi solid after a couple of minutes, and flows like water though the shooter. I'm trying to experiment with some polymers to get it to at least LOOK like a comic book web, (Imagine their faces at comic-con, right? >:) ) unfortunately I slacked a bit during chemistry ;) , but I am working diligently, going so far as to contact chemists. If you want I could PM you a scan of what my current design plans are looking like sometime tommorow. Are you still on realwebtech?

That would be awesome if you were able to scan it. The only problem is that people would base everything off it, not using as inspiration but instructions. I myself is struggling with the design of the shooter. I have basically come up with a design that has a CO2 tank on the fluid canister, and a valve that releases the pressure and lets the fluid through a heated spinneret which would evaporate the liquid and make it a spongy solid. I was wondering if we could use some sort of chemical reaction to make a strong, stringy precipitate instead of evaporating a liquid.

Well when I scan it I'll PM it, not publicly post it ;) made that mistake with my last one.

Unfortunately I won't be able to scan anything until tomorrow. But I took this pic of my design plans at present. I'll go ahead and post it and have more detailed plans with the spinnerette, fluid storage, etc. more outlined. Anyway here's a pic on my phone of the ARACHNID plans.

I fixed your link.

Awesome design, what materials do you plan to use for it?

Do you also plan to use a heated coil in you spinneret to make the fluid a solid?

Also, are you using a pressurized pack connected to the bottom of the fluid to push it through?

Thanks Waldaltmon, didn't realize.

Seafood, most of the actual shooter itself on the forearm will be made of metal. I'm fortunate enough to know quite the welder who can help with that. It's more of a cylinder on the front with a small rubber button that you press to pull more fluid into the container. If yoy look really closely in the spinnerette chamber, you see that the spinnerette comes before the cutoff switch. I figured it would build up that small little ball at the end due to pressure and potentially send it further. The fluid goes in that black storage unit on the upper arm. And the pressure comes from a backpack pump that can be pumped or Co2 powered. No heating coil. To be honest I never really thought about that.
I really tried to focus more on making this one compact. Y'know...able to fit under a sleeve.

actually its the other way.. you dont need a spinneret thats spinns and bonds a lot of filaments what you need is a heating coil for evaporating the solvent and then a nozzle that bonds all the filament in a straight line (as WW said is like putting your headphones in your pocket they will come out with nuts and nuts) also i couldnn't read to well the design because im on a iphone so my question is what valve are you using? also thats a good design!

Has anyone thought about using liquid latex in their formula ?

Hey thanks! I'll scan it today when I get home, I'm actually graduating high school today so I have most of the day off. The valve isn't labeled, mostly because I'm not sure what it's called, I bought it a while back. It's this white plastic one with a blue switch on the top if that helps. I might build my own valve actually. In my current design there's a switch in a nozzle, I'm welding it together tommorow. It's a metal?rubber circle in a cylinder that has the web build up behind it, the lever forces this down, and shoots the ball of web attached to the string out of it. And thanks for the heating coil advice, I'll purchase one asap.

ohh now i understand also it would actually be better that the metal/ rubber part of the valve (i think metal works best) that the lever pushes it up because when you push a lever the back of the lever (wich is attached to your valve metal part) goes up not down

Here's the scanned image.

I didn't really explain the release that well. It's actually hooked to a small hinge at the bottom, so when I push down on the lever, the circle in the chamber goes down with it.
