He's not obligated to 'give us anything', although it would be nice to have the formula, so we can keep on working on it
BUt, to be fair, it is his personal thing and it's nice that he shared in the first place So thanks Symbioteshost for that!
If you choose to share the formula it would be awesome, but if not it's ok. Good luck with your other projects and stuff, and maybe one day you return here with a breakthrough to share with all of us! xD

I agree. It takes hours to cure. I would use something that would take less time to cure, like cyanoacrylate, if you can take care of the fragility issue. Try mixing cyanoacrylate with rubber cement, that way you might have an elastomer strengthening your bonding agent.

hi everyboody!
i´m new here but i have been following you guys for a really long time and I have been talking to waldatmon via e-mejl for a few weeks and now I think that it is time to start talking with you guys.
i´m a 17 years old guy from sweden, studying at highschool.
i have made my own design on my webshooter and i have ben talking about the fluid/formula itself with waldatmon.
so i hope i can help and i will post pictures of my progress as soon as i can!

I have been following this thread also for a very long time, i thought i was alone but i too have been working on a webbing formula to go with my web shooters, i have lately been looking into Nylon 6,10 theory, let me end that right there, the nylon 6,10 theory will definitely Not work only because Ive tested this plenty of times and because the hexmythelene density is lighter than water, there is just no way to fit all of this into a cartridge AND be able to spin it, clean it, all at the same time before it comes out, and you can NOT touch this stuff until it has been thoroughly cleaned, then i tried dry spinning spandex, its elasticity is great, but is no where close to an adhesive and i have no i dea how to liquefy this, so if you guys/girls could catch me up, that would be great

Look at wadaltom formulas or go to spidey world and then web shooter possible? You will find there WW formula also welcome

yeah, and it needs to be put in a bath to take away the acidic properties!

i ahve found a problem in using PVA, it needs to much water to be able to be used!
it needs nearly 400ml for each 200 grams of PVA!
to much to be able to be evaporated fast enough.

here are the pictures of my webshooter blueprints.
i have made some modifications.
the spinnerette heating system is around the small tubes and not the end of it.
the tank has no nipple, instead it is connected to the screw/push button valve.
the screw/push button vlave is n ot as the pictures. the pictures show the screw valve and the button vlave sepperetly but they are infact(in my new design) built togheter into one valve that connects to the tank.
when the tank needs to be changed you have to change the entire valve, a bit more complicating but a lot smaller.
feel free to use this design but please do not post it on other websites or give out to other people than on this formu!

what about having the fluid in a big coke bottle that way you will have more capacity,or using aqeus acetone also you can use cellulose acetate

yeah, i was thinking abaout that!
if we use ageus acetone, wont that create a gel when the acetone is removed??
wont the gel have very littel tensile trengh compared to the solid?
and didnt acetone harden PVA or was that denatured alcohol???
cellulose acetate sounds really good but i cant seem to find any good kind on ebay or any other place!

What I say is, if you can get it and use it, I encourage you to do so. If you follow WW's formula as it was, then it will work perfectly.

What I say is, if you can get it and use it, I encourage you to do so. If you follow WW's formula as it was, then it will work perfectly.

I am taking chemistry lessons right now and I asked my teacher about polymers!
I git a fairly disappointing answer..NO..!
So, no polymer stuff for me, I guess google is my friend!
