Weird end to a friendship

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you might not have been the easiest person in the world to get along with.

I pissed off a lot of people, most of which I'm sure I don't even remember in my drinking daze. Most people that knew me from back then knew better than to drink with me after a one or two "adventures".

Well, I haven't asked anyone to take sides. I posted about a funny and weird incident that has resulted in a friendship ending, and asked for others to do the same. It got turned into something else.

Bruh, I'm following instructions. All these other posters just trying to make themselves feel better.

Hate to see how a date goes.

Date: I really want to see the sunset.
RockSP: I wanna go.

Date: I want to say goodbye to my sick mother before she passes.

RockSP: If your ride is not staying, it's time to get up!

Date: Just 5 more minutes. She's not got long to live.

Rock SP: She's not got 5 more minutes. Not that I googled it.

Date: Please, just humour me.

RockSP: You humour me and get into the car.

Date: I'd rather stay and spend what precious time I have left with her even if I have to walk home alone.

RockSP: Fine. You can walk home alone if you want to prove a point.

Date walks home in the dark from the hospital and gets hit by a car because she's so grief stricken and not concentrating, and because her heels broke from traipsing the uneven lonely back roads.

RockSP: "Weird end to a relationship."

:o

Okay, your turn. Weird friendship ending stories...go!

Yeah I got one...

I was at a screening for Get Out with my bud and I asked to wait a few minutes after the movie ended just in case there's something here. He said no and left. I thought he went to go to the restroom, but turns out he drove off and left me to walk home after midnight. I can't believe he did that to me. :o

Thats exactly similar to the story of the person that started this thread. What a coincidence that it happened toyou too.

Damn, that is messed up. I could see if he told you multiple times that he was leaving and asked you if you were going to walk home. Be sure to unfriend him on facebook...that'll show him.

But he would be doing what you just did to your former friend. Which IMO isn't the right thing to do.

How many miles did he walk home. He could be thanking you later on. A really long walk can get a person in shape.

I don't know if I'm trying to make myself feel better, but here's one.

My partner of 3 or so years went to a 2 or 3 day concert, came back home, told me she was moving out, and was going to live with someone else. I said "Okay". It was in the fall and classes were just starting so my housemate Tom and I went up to UC Santa Cruz, crashed the Chancellor's party, took over for the bartender, and met a bunch of smart, beautiful women from one of the few women only halls in the dorms so I had lots of canoeing, concert, and camping dates as well as some pretty sick parties at our house. My ex came back one time, saw a house crammed full of (mostly) women, got pissed off at me, and walked out.

The End

EDIT: I forgot all about that until reading DJs post. Thanks DeeJ.

A twenty year friendship that obviously didn't mean anything anyway, so why is it worth making a thread about?

He just sent me a text. I'll copy & paste:

I walked 500 miles and I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked a 1000 miles for no reason, and we ain't friends no more

RockSP didn't even follow his own thread title... There's nothing weird about the end to his friendship... this thread should be titled "I was a complete dick to my friend because I couldn't wait 5 minutes to get home, look up the actresses name, and give myself a little 'how's your father?' "

... There's nothing weird about the end to his friendship...

It's weird to be mad at someone else for the choice you make, so yeah...disagree.

If you cant indulge a friend and wait through 10 minutes of credits for them and worse leave them to walk home late at night youre a stubborn ass. And before you say, so he was he, the difference is he was asking you to wait ten minutes and you were telling him to leave or walk home late at night and put himself at risk. You were the more unreasonable of the two and your actions put him at risk.

If you wanted to leave because you had to **** and refuse to use public restrooms that would be understandable, but I doubt that is why you wanted to leave.

He chose to be friends with a childish tool, so... you may have a point here.

I agree with Reek, had RockSP just calmly explained that he will indulge in public *********ion while waiting for said friend I think that would have solved the issue immediately.

Heh, heh you guys can toss all the insults you want, the fact remains that he chose to walk home (or maybe someone gave him a lift)...that's on him not me. He put himself at risk. But hey at least you upped the running time of the credits up to a more realistic number than everyone else.

This is such a bizarre story it sounds like satire to me.

Right. The childish one is the person who chose to stay seated when his ride is walking out of the theatre. *snicker*

I'm with Rock here. If I'm driving, and the movie's over, and I say we're going, guess what? We're going. You can go with me or sell your ass on the streets for a ride home, your choice.

Umm... RockSP, you okay? You seem a bit off to me.

Goddamn right, as a person who is dependent on those with cars for my rides, when they say it's time to go I can either go with or pay for an Uber/bus ride home.
