Yeah, you're right, that totally takes away any real racial or regional aspects that might be present in those statements.

Cap has been shown just fine working with european people such as Captain Britain, Italy and France. Really you gotta remember Steve is addicted to daytime television so he also uses corny lines aswell, you'd imagen him saying things like: Hammers of Justice!

So am I the only one who thinks Batman: Earth One is turning into the second coming of All-Star Batman and Robin?

Yeah it is, even when the 1st book comes out it apparently takes 2 years for Gary Frank to get 1 book out which is just sad. Both Earth Ones we're announced december 2009 and both promised to come around 2010. >_< Geoff Johns should have given Frank to a DC monthly title or pull a David Finch on him and give him a own monthly title OR let him write his own Batman story like Lee Bermejo is.

I can never understand the hate people have for Ultimate Cap. I mean this is suppose to be a different take on Captain America and suppose to be more realistic so why are people getting upset when a man acts like how a person should or did act in the 1940's? I mean why are people so up in arms about that France line but praise Steven Colbert when he makes jokes like that about France or England or think that is right and funny when people here make fun of Canada? There is nothing wrong with how Ultimate Cap. acts if you understand he is not suppose to be like 616 Cap. He acts like a WWII vet and I for one think that's okay.

Well, you misunderstand, because no one here is upset about, or even really hating. Just telling it like it is, and one super, nigh fan-insane Ultimate fan refuses to acknowledge a pretty obvious trait of the character. I don't see anyone really having a problem getting that Ultimate Cap isn't 616 Cap. Just because people point out things about a character that aren't 'Best Character Ever!' traits, doesn't mean there's necessarily hate for it.

And you're right, there isn't much difference between that and Stephen Colbert; both instances are meant to be satirical (or if not satirical, at least a type of comment) of a certain attitude and perception of American patriotism, we just have someone who can't take that it may be satirical and actively goes out to try and combat it for whatever reason.

French being played as jokes around Captain America is something i am very aware, but Captain America is far from a bigot. If anything he hates, it's traitors. Like i said Millar had Captain America let himself get captured by the european division of SHIELD which happened to be in France and Captain busts out of there once he gets the data from there and then he beats up two french guys who we're begging for mercy and surrendered.

It's not that Captain America hates the french, it's more like Millar got unneeded hate for his little joke that he just likes to play with it. Millar had Punisher joke about voting "the hot alaskan lady" but that doesn't mean he wrote Punisher as someone who actually would have Sarah Palin, he just had Punisher crack a joke when he murdered the vice president. (who had sold his soul to the devil)

I'd rather have WW get disgusted how selffish women and men are in today's society with just dreams of being the next Miley Curys or Paris Hilton, heck i really like the idea of her being a CEO and just spamming money to help the world, while i liked Rucka's ambassador stuff, i just feel that Themyscira is too much like Cuba missile crisis and then you'd have the Americans written off as evul.

I'd also like to see Ares as an arms dealer.

Honestly i'd see All Star Wonder Woman hating both men and women of the society. Tho she probably prefers blaming men, which can be argued being tiny bit true when you look at the written law and compare the punishments you can get from rape to other things that should be considered more minor.

That version of Wonder Woman would probably work as some huge parody of the concept of the warrior ***** character people keep wanting to put the character in, but honestly, I just don't get the appeal of wanting to have the character that way, as an Elseworld or otherwise. I just don't get it. I don't understand why people love the image of a bunch of drooling, angry man-hating women who sends their drooling, angry man-hating champion to Man's World to hate men as much as she can. I just do not understand. It's like the whole super grimdark Batman, okay for a few stories in context, but in general, I don't understand the mass appeal that interpretation of the character has gathered from both fans and non-fans alike.
