I just hope that this series will be ongoing like how they said it will and not back out of it like they did with the All-Star line.
nice avatar. I tried to get one like that but I don't know what happened.
It would be nice to be a ongoing

I will give my full support as long as its original. (Comparing Batman's original origin of Bruce having a brother, etc to being an only child who loses his parents).

In the original Batman comics, Batman wasn't an only child, he had a brother too. The whole thing about Batman being the only child, left to be raised by Alfred after his parents were gunned down before him comes from New Earth in the late 1980's, and Burton looked to TDK:R and Year One as his main interpretations of Batman and then he looked at the Golden Age and Silver Age comics for Joker giving us a dark Batman and a very campy Joker.

Hopefully, Goyer will look at this Superman reboot and use it as his main interpretation source for Superman to help make this version the definite version.

Why does Clark look so menacing on that cover? Superman's not supposed to be menacing.

I own both Detective Comics #33 and Batman #1, the first depictions of his origin, and Bruce is an only child in both. Where did you read that he had a brother?

It's just to try and make it cool and edgy. Even Jim Lee drew a cover of Supes having his eyes all red.

I think Thomas Wayne jr is from those old school Superman/Batman comics. The Wolrd Finest title.

It's not just the red eyes, it's the hood and the hunched over, downward angle of the composition, like Clark's looking down his nose at the viewer. But, looking at previous posts, I guess the hood is just his "costume" as a teenager in the Earth One version.

It's a lot cooler than the suit and tie. Maybe JMS is going back to the portrayal of young Clark as a popular high school football star for Earth One.

Just pointing out this sketch of Clark Kent. You can see the Hoodie is part of his work outfit. I guess he needs the hoodie incase its raining? Not that it bothers Superman but he needs to act like a human after all.

Wait, he's supposed to be an adult in Earth One? That outfit looks a bit odd to me for a full-grown man, but I guess if he's out doing some hardcore investigative journalism or whatever, that's probably more like what real modern-day journalists wear.

Both Batman and Superman are starters here. I'm asusming the origins are done in Flashbacks. Both books are 128 pages (6 issues) worth of stories. Superman's first villain is related to Krypton's destruction and Batman is facing a newly-created villain. Riddler will be the villain of the 2nd book. :)

As I recall in one of the interviews JMS said Clark was supposed to be in mid-twenty's during this time.

When do these come out? They are graphic novels right? Not ongoing issues.

I actually like that this Superman is different, this is like Ultimate Superman.

And Clark is 21 years old in this, according to JMS' interview.

I'm really looking forward to both of these. Amazon already has Superman: Earth One listed for pre-order. Definitely will be pre ordering it as soon as I get my paycheck :D

The release date on there is November. 2. Anyone know if this is correct? That's quite awhile away.

I love the cover. I think the hoodie looks pretty cool on him.

Hmm, I should do the prebuy thing too. I'm going to forget that I bought them by November and when they come in it will be a nice surprise for me.

From Comic Con:

I am wondering since this is Batman in his early career if Barbara Gordon is a love interest to Bruce Wayne. Because it would be way to early to see Batgirl and there is no indication of Robin yet.

I am looking forward to this though.
