Got to put it out there...Rashida Jones as Lois Lane=awesome.

Comic-wise, this looks alright, but I'd rather read JMS Superman in regular continuity.

JMS starts writing Superman in #700. :) So your wish comes true!

Nice.

But if it comes out like THOR I may just wait.

Thor's problems was that he had Oliver Copiel and Marko Djurdjevic on art for his Thor run, not JMS himself.

The artist so far for JMS' run on Superman is Eddy Barrows who so far has had his work come out consistently on time.

Good point. Has the artist for this been announced?

I really hope we get Wonder Woman and Green Lantern Earth One. Green Lantern is an amazing concept and would shine in an updated baggage free book.

Yep so keep recommending the Earth One titles so they can get more spinoffs... I actually have wondered whenever or not DC should have waited till 2012 with these releases, with Batman 3 and Superman movie coming out.

If the fast track Superman.

Well this line is suppose to be ongoing so we may see Green Lantern yet. I just hope the Earth one stuff does well so we can get the two books a year as we were told we would get. Because they said if it does well we should see two books of Earth One Superman, Batman , GL, etc a year which sounds good to me.

I have no issue with the Earth One idea but man if they couldn't have chosen a worse name for those series for a variety of reasons.

Why? The original Earth-1 is dead and there is a new Earth-1 in the DC Multiverse, why not simply use it.

Because it's yet another slap in the face to Pre-Crisis fans, and it's unnecessary. They could have called it a million different things, so they pick the one name that already has a history and characters attached to it. So when I say "Earth One Superman" I (and others) now have to explain if it's the Silver/Bronze Age Earth One Superman or if it's a new interpretation that is gonna be weighed down by the past too much as it is and now has an already used designation applied to it and screwing it up. It's just stupid.

JMS talked abit about Superman: Earth One:JMS Grounded interview

CA: How is your Superman in the "Grounded" DCU storyline going to differ from your portrayal of the character in the upcoming Earth One hardcover? What are the differences or similarities between them?

JMS: The hardcover is a vastly different story. It's about Clark first coming to Metropolis, before Superman had been revealed to the world, where he's trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life. Fact is, if he chooses not to reveal himself, he can be anything he wants: the best baseball player in the world, the best scientist, whatever he wants, the world is his...IF he keeps his abilities a secret. So the story is about that Gethsemene moment when he has to choose to either reveal himself, and give over a large part of his life forever more, or turn his back on his adopted world. This is the pivot-point in his history. The common cliche is that anytime someone gets powers, they automatically become a hero or a villain. But at some point, we all have to choose what we want to do with our lives, and this is Clark's moment of truth.
