Well, it's now official. Canada is on its way out of being a nation.

Dude, you're like 12. You know nothing about Canada or Captain Kirk, except what you've seen on bad parodies. :whatever:

How do you know if "Dude, I'm like 12"? And I have seen Star Trek. And it was scary.

Didn't Triumph put it best?

What's that sound?

That's the sound of the rest of the world not caring.

My super sleuth skills noted your hyper-active tendencies. But it was my heart that pegged you as precocious.

There is a good chance that, in time, provinces will join the US.

And then I can live my dream!!

I can think of 4,which means the USA would gain 4 new states? The American Empire`s forces would grow stronger.

What`s your dream?

Hey Quebecois, we're in north america, SPEAK THE LANGUAGE :cmad:

Well, then we'd have to determine the language of the people who came here by walking across the Bering Strait.

Canada can't have a civil war. Canada would win but Quebec would still get special treatment. They lost to the British originally yet still get to act like the winner. Hopefully Harper hasn't impressed Ontario voters enough so the Conservative Party lose seats if a surprise election is called.

Well with the Bloq calling him out, I doubt he's really gaining much favour in Quebec anyway.

And he ate all that poutine and maple syrup too.

Not likely. Soon enough, we'll all be Americans.
Actually, most likely scenario is America will cease to be a dominant super power in the next couple decades.

Not necessarily. Polls that I have seen have shown that none of the liberal contenders are catching on with the public.

We need to break out the Yukon Confederacy.

1. We don't need Quebec and we have no right to keep her if she ultimately wants out.

2. I have no plans on visiting Newfoundland or the Eastern seaboard in the near future anyway.

3. Laws and constitutions can be changed.

4. Doesn't matter what a province's contributions to a country is, if they really want out, it's not worth a fight to keep them. It's like being married, if a spouse wants out, you're probably better off without them anyway.

5. You can always argue with Albertans, they're always willing to put up a fight and they want to stay in Canada.
This post makes me sad you represent people from my province.

Everything you've said here is wrong.

1. Quebec is one of the founding provinces of this nation and I will be DAMNED before I let one of the foundations of Canada try to leave it.

2. I'll let you have this one. If I want the Newfoundland experience I'll just go to Fort McMurray.

3. What purpose does a law serve if we change it? It was implemented for a reason; we have to objectively determine if the reason for that law still exists.

4. Quebec is being a whiny little b_tch. I will admit that. However, they will continue to whine as long as they aren't in power. It's exactly the same thing that was printed in the Calgary Sun every day before Harper was elected, only in French. Everybody complains until they're running the show.

5. I don't know. I would never support Alberta separating from Canada, but it's probably because of my Albertan arrogance that I identify myself first and foremost as being from Alberta, then Calgary, then Canada. I'm proud to be from this province, as I imagine most Quebecois are. I respect their right to have a different sort of culture from English Canada, but I don't understand what more they want. They should be proud of their diversity instead of feeling inferior because of it.

Canada needs to come back home and embrace the warm hug of the UK once again.

Thanks, but no. We're okay making our own mistakes. ;)

Remember, most Quebecers DON'T want to seperate, as past referendums have indicated.

However, a few elitists high-powered seperatists feel that their culture and language will be threatened by being part of the rest of Canada, and they play that fear to the people; hence why they get the support.

Thankfully, more people in Quebec are smart enough to see through that fear-mongering.

As indicated in my location, I live in New Brunswick, the ONLY official bi-lingual province in Canada. And I'd be lying if I said that didn't cause problems amongst ourselves, but it's caused mostly by the extremists on both ends. I live in Moncton, where the City is basically 60% english, 40% french, and about 85% of us speak and/or understand both languages. It's really not a problem and I fail to understand why English Canada has a hard time to accept French Canada. (I know that's it's mostly the politicians fault as they have catered to the Quebec voters for over 100 years, thus giving the rest of Canada a reason to dislike Quebec).
