There were a ton of Optimist Primes and a great deal of Negatrons who were posting their opinions. I'm curious if after seeing the film, changed your minds and what changed it?

I'll probably remember Transformers as one of my greatest movie theatre experiences for years to come, how can I be disappointed in that?

The humour was spot on, the action walked all over SM3 and there were times were I felt like i'd giggle in excitement over the epicness of this movie.

Anything to do with robots rings in my interest, so yeah, I thought it would be cool and it turned out awesome! Actually better than I expected!

I didn't get what I wanted mostly, but I still like what I saw, so take that as you will.

The trailers made it look like it was going to be fun and it was.

>^..^<

To any mod, could you please correct my spelling error on the last poll option??

I had low expectations...and the movie blew it out of the freakin world!!!
BEST.MOVIE.EVER.
By far the most fun i've had in a theatre.

Optimist Prime and pleased right here, bub. :trans: :woot:

You and me both, pal!! That was one of the few movies I've been to, where the audience applauded at the end, and the FIRST time I was one of them!

Nope it was everything I expected and what I expected was nothing but ACTION ACTION ACTION with no story or character development for the Autobots and Decepticons

Not that my fandom for Transformers has ever weakend but I can understand why old fans may come back to the francise. This will definately create a new generation of followers

I doubted Michael Bay like a number of others, but the movie was f****ng amazing

I'm not quite sure how to answer.

I was definitely more of a Negatron, and a LOT of the things that I thought would be bad in the TF movie were indeed bad. However, I was more entertained by the action and FX than I expected. So yes, I was wrong in thinking that I wouldn't like the film, because overall I did like it. However, I was right about the lame gags, bad acting and holey plot. I still say that the robot designs are too "busy" and confusing at points, but they still looked cool onscreen.

So I was wrong on maybe about 40% of the things I was expecting to suck. I was expecting a 4/10 movie and I got a 7.5/10 movie.

I didn't go in expecting the classic series and had no expectation one way or the other, I really enjoyed myself, I expected changes from the original series, no one should ever expect 100% accurracy when you adapt from a cartoon or comic to big budget film, I liked the changes, I'm a big Decepticon fan and liked the all and liked the Autobots as well. I give it a 9 out 10.

I wanted a great movie. Damned if I didn't get it.:word:

I'm a satisfied Optimist Prime.

You can thank Hunter Rider for those (I think)

All I have to say is that this is the first time I've ever felt the need to see a movie in theaters twice. And I've see a lot of movies in theaters.

i felt like i had to see it twice and so i did and it was still awesome!

I was expecting a great movie, and I got it. And it was the one movie that made me go back to the theatre again as well.

I was a negatron early on because I dislike Bay's movies... slowly became optimistic by participating in this forum... but was utterly disappointed in the movie. A lot of the things everybody- even people that loved it- agrees is "wrong" with the movie are the EXACT things they complain about with other movies... but Transformers somehow gets a pass.

It started off good but lost me sometime in between the peeing and non-existant off-camera Megatron / Optimus Prime fight.

Because I so dearly love the Transformers universe, I stayed away and avoided this movie like it was the plague. I basically pretended that the movie didn't exist. I stayed away from every aspect of this movie because I did not want to be spoiled in any way whatsoever.

I wasn't a Positive Paul.

I wasn't a Negative Nancy.

I was incredibly indifferent. And I'm really glad I took that approach because the movie was the best damn surprise I've had in the last ten years of movie watching.
