West to Direct Statham in Mechanic Remake

Aside from some of the action scenes I wasn't really a fan of the Transporter series. I am hoping this will be better . Looking forward to seeing people get "very, very killed" and some Ben Foster in rampage mode.

Kermode gave it a thumbs up but stated it wasn't as good as the Transporter movies.
Stathams pretty entertaining to watch on screen even if the movies he is in are junk, he deserves higher quility stuff imo.

Chalk it up to today's writers. There's no Shane Black's, Steven E. De Souza's, Walter Hill's and James Cameron's (When he still had testicles that is) around anymore. But Richard Wenk wrote 16 Blocks, so I think that's why this is getting good reviews (For a Stath flick).

The movie actually was pretty good, I thought. The action is very different from the Transporter films in that Statham's never doing a whole heap of acrobatic martial arts to drive home the point that he's a badass. If anything, Foster gets some of the best gunfight moments in the film.

But dammit if I didn't have to put up with the most annoying family at the theater!!! Not only did the parents talk throughout THE ENTIRE FILM! but they brought their kids, who couldn't have been more than eight or nine years-old! And they wouldn't shut up, either!!!

Also thought it was good. I thought Statham as an action star was handled better here than in the Transporter series. Also the acting was better than average and Foster stole the film . Several brutal action scenes , especially a fight that involves a fire poker . I really liked Arthur's interrogation methods with the garbage disposal
everyone in my theater was fooled.
and pace of the film was good but it felt like they rushed the ending .
