I ask this cause I've never been a die hard fan of Superman. I've always liked him and watched the animated series when I was a kid on kids WB but I'd always been a Marvel guy and know there characters alot more. It's not untill the past year or so I've really gotten into Supes and my favorite Villains of his are Bizarro and Darkseid. And I was wondering as Superman fans do you think either of these characters has a good chance at making it in a sequel or are they to much for the movies?

not sure bizarro would be one but darkseid hopefully will

If they use Darkseid it will be for the final film of the franchise.

I'd say Bizarro has a pretty decent chance at being in a sequel, as Brandon Routh even siad he'd like to do a film where Superman fights Bizarro

Brainiac and Metallo in sequel, save Darkseid for number 3.

i want to cyborg in a film, metallo is unlikely now he is in the game

Really?! That's awsome do you have a link to that or know what website you got that from?

its just a fact everyones sure darkseid will be used for the last film

Most think Brainiac will be in the sequel, not sure about Darkseid, but I hope we see him in the 3rd.

many people think he will be in the sequel but no one knows for sure

Darkseid is the ultimate threat, so he should be saved for last. By himself, he is more than a challenge, but he also has an entire army at his disposal. A film featuring Darkseid is also sure to require more CGI work than any other villian, another reason it should be saved for last.

While I believe that Darkseid's legions of parademons envading Earth, and the inevitable climactic throwdown with Superman would produce the best Superman film ever, part of me wishes they'll save Darkseid for the first Justice League film (which is imaginary at this point for some reason, WB has the rights to nearly every DC character, I can't believe they're not developing this already.)

While I would love to see a trilogy weaving Luthor in the first film followed by Brainiac in a second, and Darkseid in a third, I don't see Singer going this route. He'll probably think like Donner and do what he sees as a natural extension of this film which follows similarities to the Donner film. This means Pre-Crisis elements.

If they could do either a live action version of Apokolips Now! or Legacy, from the DCAU or at least attributes of those, then it could really be Epic.

Last night Brainiac Attacks was on TV, and I could not have been more disappointed. It was horrible. Most of the characters were done well, with the exception of Luthor and Brainiac. Luthor was done very horrible and I wonder if this is to play into what Spacey's version of the character will be. If so, I'm not surprised Clancy Brown was unavailable to VA the DTV. Same with Corey Burton doing Brainiac. Lance Henrikson did a good job on Shade in JL/JLU and he's a good VA, but he really didn't do a strong job with Brainiac. Same with Powers Boothe who did a great Grodd, but a bad Luthor.

Luthor from Brainiac Attacks was so lame I felt like I was watching an episode of The Superfriends. It felt like all of the work that Clancy Brown did on the Luthor character was undone in one strike with this DTV.

Yeah I hated it as well it was a major disappointment. dpm07 I think Brainiac could work in Singers vision, I based my sequel idea around the way I think Singer and his team would handle it, I'd liketo have your feedback on my ideas, it's in the your sequel ideas thread

I'll definitely check it out.

The reason Brainiac Attacks sucks is because Bruce Timm (the man behind Superman the Animated Series, Justice League, Batman TAS and so forth) was not involved. Brainiac Attacks was developed by the guy in charge of "The Batman". He is a talentless F@#%, and I can't believe the WB let's him crap all over thier characters.

oh as that been aired now it must be on limewire now then

..i honestly believe that with the plans on making this kind of movies as realistic as possible,...i can only say that i dont see comic's Darkseid or Doomsday or any huge cosmic - oriented villain being part of this renewed franchise...maybe Brainiac, and with a totally new approach...

sad, because i'd love to see a Doomsday vs Supes movie...

Doubtful. I wouldn't like Bizzarro (he is kind of that stupid supervillian from Superman 4, and Bizzarro is camp villian) :down

Darkseid is very dificult character, besides I dont want new Star Wars movie :down

The best choices for sequels are: Brainiac, Metallo, Ti-Zor and Parasite

why would you want Ty-Zor  :(

I think an awesome way to go for the second movie would be to have Bizzaro but change it up. Have him be all Superman during the early beginnings then have him slowly dissolve into a rash and harsh individual at the end. Like how Superman was in Superman 3. Make him more of a bad Superman than a bumbling frankenstein Superman. This type of Superman would contrast well with Superman being away so long. There's still distrust there in the masses from Superman leaving and the introduction of a bad Superman would make it that much worse. Plus it would sometimes work to Clarks advantage to be seen side-by-side with this other Superman. It would help devert some attention off of him if they (Singer and crew) decide to go with that angle.

This would be a perfect opportunity to introduce Dr. Emil Hamilton as well as a supporting character. Maybe Lex got Star Labs somehow with the billions he inherited from the Vanderworths. There's plenty of blood from the New Krypton fight that he could use to make a clone. But this Bizzaro would just mess up nearly everything Superman has tried to reclaim, his relationship with Lois, his relationship with Earth's people. Plus we could have some awesome fights above the Metropolis skyline.

I could also see Richard White doubting Superman as well. This would make Lois's choices all that much harder. Jason could also start losing faith in his hero.

Darkseid is to complicated, you have to bring in the whole Apokalips thing, and way to many comic stuff general audience. I think he could come out in an animated film (done right).Another problem would be the huge amount of CG, and if they are not doing CG, then they would probably mess something up.

for sequel villains I think these are the villains that could work (IMO)
-metallo
-Brainiac
-bizzaro

Metallo would use CG, but it wont require huge amounts, he could be normal for some part, half ripped skin, and for a short while show the entire metallic body.

Brainiac could be given a short simple, yet deep origin.

Bizzaro, I imagine he could be a villain witch superman destroys quickly, and the real threat was brainiac. ( imagine the intense air battle)

Thats my Opinion

if,...and this is a big if...Bizarro gets to make it in the second or third movie...,i'd like him to use the gray costume design by Tim Burton...it could look cool...
