I noticed that a lot of people are saying that Darkseid isn't a Superman villain and he should appear in a Fourth World or New Gods movie. Like that's going to happen. They are problemy never going to do a Fourth World or New Gods movie. If they did it would be critical and box office bomb because think of how much money it would take to be a epic like that. Also critics and audiences would consider it a Star Wars rip-off. As always, fanboys would be still be complaining. If they haven't even made a Wonder Woman or Flash movie. Even though it's still in production. But Wonder Woman lost its director a couple weeks ago or even monthes ago. What's the hope of doing a Fourth World movie. Also Darkseid doesn't have to be a villain in a Justice League movie. They could use the White Martians as villains. Which would better fit the orgin of the Justice League. Plus, the Justice League movie in the works is problemy a stand alone flim. They also problemy not going to make sequels for the JL movie anyway. For those who say the whole New Gods would be hard to do a Superman flim. They could use Krypton as Apnokolips' enemy instead of New Genesis. I remeber hearing someone say that John Peters didn't have rights for Darkseid because he wasn't created by Jerry Siegel and Joel Shuster. Which doesn't make since because Brainiac, Metallo, Parasite, Doomsday, and even Zod weren't created by them. Brainiac, Metallo, and Doomsday were all in the canceled Superman projects before Superman Returns. Plus Darkseid has appeared in Superman: TAS, was going to appear in one of Alex Ford's Superman movies, Darkseid did first appear in Superman's Pal Jimmy Oslen, and made his first full apearence in Forever People 1# which had Superman in that issue.Even if they had to buy the rights for Darkseid. It would be as expensive as Jack Kirby's other creations like the Hulk, Caption America, and the Fantastic Four because they are more popular then Darkseid.

Sorry for spelling and grammer.

:dkm: Darkseid is the only villian Superman really goes all out for always in the cartoon Darkseid never uses kryton crystals on him because he doesnt need to he is far supierior to him in every way even in the laser beam eyes area. Superman always loses to Darkseid until he uses all his powers and doesnt hold back like other villians and with intentions to kill.

The problem hardcore fans have with using Darkseid is that, in comics, Darkseid is exponentially more powerful than Superman. Darkseid is to Superman what Superman is to you and me. It's that dramatic. For Superman to 'not hold back' and beat darkseid is just as ridiculous as you or I beating up Superman with our hands because we 'didn't hold back.'

Almost anybody in a Hellboy/Thing-styled suit could play Darkseid... I personally would suggest Michael Clarke Duncan.

Q: How awesome is Darkseid as a fixture in a supehero universe?

The more I think about Darkseid -- which is often -- the more I'm convinced that he's inextricably tied into Superman and how he works, and that's actually not something I was initially too keen on. I prefer to think of Darkseid first and foremost as a villain for the entire DC Universe, then as the ultimate evil of the Fourth World Saga, and only then, as a distant third, as one of Superman's enemies. But really, that's a view of things that's on some pretty shaky ground right from the start.

For one thing, it's pretty hard to argue that he's not a "Superman villain" when his first appearance is in an issue of Jimmy Olsen and he hasn't really done much for the past 25 years other than show up and throw down with the Last Son of Krypton. Even if he's an opponent for the entire DC Universe, the entire DC Universe orbits around Superman. He's the foundation upon which everything else is built, but it's more than that. It has to do with how they're constructed, and how they're set up in direct opposition to each other, even when they've got their own stuff going on. When you look at it that way, what it really comes down to is freedom.

Yes, Darkseid should be a very important villain in future DCU's movies, with Superman, the Green Lantern Corps, the Justice League and the New Gods fighting against him along several movies if the DC shared universe is finally launched with MoS.

Tons of people will make comparisons with Thanos in the MCU movies, but Darkeid is the original after all, not using him would be a waste.

I thought the Krypton looked a lot like Apocalypse in Man of Steel.

Umm Apocalyypse doesn't have blue skies,trees,........or anything not hell like.

I'd like to see him manipulating things that come to ahead in the Justice league movie myself.

It would be a huge waste of potential to not use him in a JL film.

I wouldn't mind a Darkseid easter egg in a MoS movie, but he should certainly be the JL's main baddy. Maybe intro him in a Superman movie, but have that lead into a confrontation in JL?
