Civil War What are the rosters going to be?

I put together a video of what I expect the rosters to be:

I'll read through the thread soon and comment on other folks' thoughts posted before and after me.

I think Civil War will be a great way to bring back General Ross into the fold.

This would be great, especially if destruction caused by Hulk in AoU is a key factor in the introduction of the Act. I would expect Banner to be No.1 on the governments list of superheroes to register and Ross would be a likely appointment to complete this task (especially if Banner returns to hiding from world governments/agencies at the end of AoU).

If War Machine is part of Cap's new team of Avengers at the end of AOU is rumored I wonder if they might actually have him oppose Stark. That'd make for more drama.

If the twins are in the movie they'll definitely be separated. I could see Wanda siding with Stark and Pietro with Cap.

I'd imagine they'll separate the twins and/or Widow & Hawkeye for more effect. Assuming either group is in the film.

Charlie Cox says he's been reading Civil War and he'd like to be in it.

I'd hope for at least an episode showing Daredevil being hunted by SHIELD agents during or directly after the events of Civil War.

Damnit, you're likely right. But I want as much brother/sister dynamics as can possibly be fit in films where they aren't the central characters!

interesting I would think it'd be the other way around...(Wanda/Cap-Pietro/Stark)

havn't Cap. and Wanda even been involved together in the comics before?

Guess we know Team Cap now

Captain America x Black Widow x War Machine x Scarlet Witch x The Vision x Falcon

Definitely. Even if just in a small role, to set him up for future arcs, and possibly a transformation into Red Hulk.

At least traditionally, I don't think Pietro would leave Wanda "unprotected", much less fight her. There dynamic has changed in recent years, so I suppose it could happen.

Scarlet Witch confirmed.

Awesome. Civil War is shaping to dwarf AOU in scope with the number of superheroes that will be involved.

Based on spoilers in the AoU forum, it looks like Cap's team will be:
BW, Hawkeye, SW, Falcon, War Machine, and Vision.

How about
Winter Soldier and Sharon Carter?

And how about Team Iron Man?

I'm not sure you can consider those 2 in any camp yet because one still needs to find redemption and the other is only a CIA agent with limited screen time so far in the MCU.

As for Team Iron Man, I'm not sure if there is one even because there really doesn't seem to be any heroes left that aren't following CA. That's problem with so few actual heroes in the MCU to do a Civil War arc on the same scale as the comic book one.

Team Iron Man will probably be the government and SHIELD

the third party will be Crossbones and what's left of Hydra

Honestly, I'd expect the "third party" to initially be part of Stark's side, with Zemo.

Everyone in the new Avengers roster isn't going to automatically side with Cap when Civil War starts heating up.

Civil War will more than likely end up splitting the Avengers up. The roster going into IW part I could look totally different than at the end of AOU.

The one thing I wouldn't want to have happen is it basically be a rehash of TWS, with Cap fighting the government like before (now + Iron Man)

I actually think the events for Ant-Man will have a greater impact on Civil War than we think (I hope the post-credits scene has something to do with it) because based on the trailer...it's clear that there is an opinion that not everyone should have superpowers, because if that happens, there will be chaos.

Based on the level of global destruction in AOU and the superpowers theme in Ant-Man, I could see the government trying to guilt Stark into siding with them, and him being the liaison to the new Avengers to sign-up, thus dividing the new team and bringing more superheros we haven't seen yet, like Black Panther, Spidey, etc, into the controversy.

I can't wait for this film (even more than AOU)

Whats the general consensus in this thread for which side of the line Hulk will land?

I can't see him anywhere but on Starks side. After reverting back to Banner in AOU post-scarlet witch, post being used as a weapon AGAIN. And seeing that Stark had a way to protect the world from the "Other Guy" ...I just see that as the most logical mentality for Banner.

Exactly. If there is a new Avengers team after AoU, then said team is the one that is divided in half between Team Cap and Team Stark.

Exactly on Ant-Man and Pym's approach to all this. Any rumors of Michael Douglas being in Civil War? Maybe Hank Pym and Hope Van Wasp side with Stark and Paul Rudd sides with Cap.

Or, how about the surprise of every single member of the post-AoU Avengers siding with Stark and Pym (you could make an argument as to why each one would organically):

War Machine - Gov't employee and Stark loyalist
Falcon - Gov't employee and pro-military
Scarlet Witch - Guilt over the chaos her own powers bring, wanting order to overcompensate, non-American thus may align to a global policy over American politics
Vision - Created by Stark, sees the rationality of transparency in dangerous superpowers if we want transparency in government

and Cap having to create a ragtag group of rebels (Spidey, the Netflix Defenders, the Winter Soldier, the Avengers who aren't Avengers after AoU:

Black Widow - Pro-Cap instead of Pro-Stark, maybe sees bureaucratic oversight a reminder of Soviet tyranny
Hawkeye - Sick of it all, distrustful of Stark

Ant-Man), with Black Panther the wild card.

According to Joblo, we're getting Cap, Falcon, Black Widow and Hawkeye vs Iron Man, War Machine, Vision and Ant-Man, with Black Panther as the wild card with his own agenda. They say Scarlet Witch is there too but they don't know what role she plays.

Cap's team would get trounced, especially with what we are hearing about the Vision.
