What are they smoking?

Kind of a dumb question but, what are those balls on a stick things that everyone (mostly by Laurie) is smoking? It must be some 80's trend. Anyone care to help me out here?

I think they're made by Veidt and it's probably some sort of healthy cigarette mentioned above.

I was just going to make this thread myself. I've been wondering about this for years. The pipe looks like something used to smoke coke. Rather than Veidt, I figured it was just another of Dr. Manhattan's "gifts" to the world -- some sort of non--carcinogenic smoke. But if that was the case, you'd think Moore would've played up the irony in the whole cancer ploy regarding Manhattan.

i dont think its a "healthy" smoke, because if you recall, laurie and dan talk about how its a terrible habit.

I wondered the same thing, but was too afraid to ask, scared I'd get one of those "Well, we can sure tell how old you are. Don't you know anything about the 80's, kid?"
