Forgive me if this thread was already made, and I'll ask to have this deleted if it was. (Searched and couldn't find one.)

What are your favorite live action/animated comic movie costumes?

I guess I'll start with mine.

You can probably tell I'm more into simpler, more comic accurate costumes. With the exception of Quicksilver's, who's outfit was so purposely bad I couldn't help but like it. Though admittedly I was never a fan of him in the comics, so that might have a lot to do with it.

I was curious to see other people's thoughts on movie costumes because I tend to get attacked by people who don't even read comics just because I like the outfit from The Amazing Spider-Man, or attacked by MCU fans because I don't like some of their re-imaginings. Not that I really care if someone gets angry at my opinions, but it's fun to talk about sometimes.

Deadpool, Daredevil S2 Costume, MCU Spidey, Man of Steel Superman Costume and...does Hulk count as a costume?

My personal list. Complete with gifs of each costume, because I have nothing better to do with my life. :o
When it comes to superhero costumes I'm stupidishly nitpicky because why the hell not. These are the few ones I basically find either 100% perfect or almost perfect.

Iron Man Mark #1 & #3

And since I'm not allowed to post more than 10 pics at once, here are the honorable mentions:
Batman & Joker ('89), Batman (Batman Begins), Reeve's Superman, Malekith and the Dark Elves, Yukio (The Wolverine), Nebula, Doctor Octopus, Nightcrawler, Hulk (Avengers), Enchantress.

costume design is really in a pretty amazing place right now
almost everything from Marvel and WB looks great
Fox is still trailing, but they showed hints of greatness with DP, the First Class suits, and Negasonic

Batman '89/Returns (and Begins to a lesser extent), Catwoman from Returns, Black Widow from Iron Man 2, Scarlet Witch from Age of Ultron, Psylocke, Blink, Thea and Sara from Arrow

Raimi Spider-Man costume. Iron Man. Captain America in Winter Soldier. Dr Octopus.

DOFP concept art all day every day :oldrazz:, but yeah Deadpool in general is exceptional in that dept.
The Horsemen + Apocalypse are gorgeous; Magneto wearing his best threads to date.

Let's see if I can tackle most of the franchises.

Nothing but adoration for any superhero/villain designed by Wilkinson
or with Guillermo Del Toro at the helm.
Nolan: Catwoman :hmr:
Burton: Catwoman :hmr:
TDK's Joker is iconic and Joker's design has always been a highlight in which ever movie he appears.
DeVito's Penguin is definitely the most horrifying of any onscreen Batman villain, imho.

A couple uniforms aside, MCU Cap hasn't let me down with his wardrobe.
Iron-Man never disappoints.
There's some meme in which Ant-Man just has great outfits all around and I'm a-okay with that. I definitely like the update more.
Hawkeye is practically wearing his best to date.
The MCU (emphasis on cinematic) minus GOTG (outside of Nebula) are good-great with adapting costumes.

The only Spidey suit that bugs me is the one from TASM2. Favorite by far is between Raimi's (they all look the same to me) and TASM1's.
All the judges from Dredd, V, Tank Girl, Ghost Rider (the first one), The Phantom, The Rocketeer, Sin City (the guys in prosthetic make-up), Kick-Ass, The Crow, Spawn, those swords-and-sandals cbm's, Tim Story's F4 :cwink:

I can't really decide when getting up to the animated level.

Deadpool
Marv (Sin City)
Yellow Bastard (Sin City)
Magneto (DOFP)
Spider-Man (Amazing Spider-Man 1&2)
Captain America (TFA)
Superman (MOS)
Hellboy
The Comedian
Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Deadpool)
Bishop (DOFP)
Archangel (X-Men: Apocalypse)
Iron Man MK III & V

Top 5
Raimi's Spider-Man
Batman Returns' Batman
Age of Ultron's Captain America
Iron Man 2's Mark VI
Donner's Superman

Honorable Mentions
Russo's Spider-Man (Not out yet)
Nolan's Batman
Raimi's Doctor Octopus
Singer's Magneto (McKellen, X2)
Johnson's Red Skull

Yeah, the Watchmen and Hellboy costumes are basically /end thread material. Truly top notch work.

Yeah, she was cool. Which reminds me of Bishop.

Unfortunately his very small role made people (including me) almost forget he even was in the movie, lol. But he did look pretty badass.

Rorschach, Comedian, and Dan look great in Watchmen, but I'm not super thrilled about the rest. I'm not sure if I count Manhattan as a costume, heh.

Well, Ozymandias looked like crap and I won't even try to deny it. No idea what Snyder was thinking with that one, it looked something out of B&R. But I really didn't mind Silk Spectre.

And Doc Manhattan counts the same way Hulk counts, I guess. :funny: He might be nekkid but they still had to translate his cb look to live-action without botching it up. And they did, imho.

Bane in TDKR and Trevor Slattery. DCCu Aquaman. Suicide Squad Joker's purple crocodile skin jacket.

I agree about Wilkinson so far. I'm not a fan of 90's Aquaman or Mamoa's look so far but I can't hate it. I just find it generic compared to classic Aquaman.

Spidey Raimi

Ironman Civil War

Cap Civil War

Deadpool

Superman in Man of Steel

Psylocke in X-Men Apocalyose

Colossus in Deadpool

Black Phanter in Civil War

Scarlet Witch in Civil War

I totally forgot about Doctor Strange. How did that happen. It's utterly perfect. I mean, I know we've yet to see it in the context of the movie, but still.

My top five:

- Donner/Reeve Superman
- The Rocketeer
- Cap's "First Avenger" combat suit (which he wore again at the climax of "Winter Soldier")
- MCU Spidey
- And at the risk of committing the ultimate in blasphemy, Adam West's Batman. Yeah, I said it and I'm not taking it back.

The MCU has made me more old-fashioned, I guess. I don't really care for the overly-textured-rubber look anymore, especially when they try to make it still look like muscles (and yes, I know most people love it, but Batfleck's suit does absolutely nothing for me).

Rorshach: Watchmen
Batman: Armored and Unarmored (BVS)
Captain America: Prologue Costume (Winter Soldier)

Top ten:

- Spider-Man MCU/Civil War
- Batman BvS
- Iron Man Mark 3-6/Civil War
- Superman MOS/BvS
- Spider-Man TASM
- Spider-Man Raimi SM1-SM2
- Black Panther Civil War
- X-Men: First Class Flight suits
- Captain America TWS
- Thor MCU costumes

Spoiler Alert....NONE OF THE XMEN (FOX STUDIOS) WHERE EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO THEIR COMIC ORIGINALS!

Editing the ending of Wolverine: Orgins made no sense due to the fact it'd be like 26 years of homage to one of the most recognizable characters in his yellow cat skin suit.
